Surgery and PMR dose
I’m due to have
surgery
in 10 days time for a couple of hernia repairs. I am currently in the second week of reducing Prednisolone from 2mg to 1.5mg, over a five week period. At the time of starting the taper, I didn’t know of the confirmed operation date.

Waiting for results after Hysterectomy
I had fully expected the
surgery
to find Endometriosis however there wasn't any. I am now waiting on the pathology test results on what was removed. I am wondering if I could have Adenomyosis now, which is why I am posting on this community. If it isn't Adenomyosis, what else could it be?

RFA treatment for toxic multinodular goitre
The nodule in my goitre was /is very large and was above the size for a good clinical outcome but the Radiologist was happy to negotiate my choice and on the basis that I did not want
surgery
and that the goitre should improve on a cosmetic level it was agreed to proceed.

Prednisolone and Surgery
I have read several articles on this site regarding the need for extra doses when undergoing
surgery
. Is this correct and if so what are the likely consequences of extra not given.Your expert knowledge would be very much appreciated.

New blood results
Graves confirmed again 57 years after
surgery
for it. Endo said that there's nothing can be done to reduce the antibodies and since my bloods are in range come back in 6 months. Meanwhile, I feel unwell. Still getting palpitations and losing weight.

I had a major
surgery
about 8 months ago but the pain around my stomach hasn't gone away. My blood tests and CT scan results are normal. They mentioned that have adhesions which make me in pain all day all night, so I only rely on the pain reliefs.

Stopping artovastatin for 2 weeks ( Nstemi and quadruple bypass July 2023)
Had a visit to GP
surgery
yesterday for a cyst removal and mentioned how rough I had been feeling for the last month . The doc went through the list of side effects of arvovastatin and I ticked 6-8 of them.

Hello all, Due to Prostate
surgery
and a Transurethral resection I have had an artificial urinary sphincter put in by an experienced surgeon about 4 1/2 weeks now. My incisions have healed nicely but my scrotum where the pump is installed is still very sore.
