Update on my Sirdupla changes
I received a call from the health Centre today to say that the consultant doesn't want me to come off inhaled
steroids
all together. He would like me to swap to the Fostair Nexthaler and keep on my Spiriva. He also wanted to put me on Montelukast to help with the transition.

Alimta and Keytruda causing major fatigue
She put me on very low dose of
steroids
for three days which did not help. This week she had me go back to the center for two hydration treatments which may have helped just a little.

They say nothing about prostate cancer but they do mention painful bone tumors.

I am better!
I was warned that I was border line diabetes when I started on the Pred and sure enough, I soon became diabetic, probably because of the
steroids
. I also had AF (Atrial Fibrillation) and a liver imbalance. I went to see a diabetic consultant who advised me to see a diabetic dietician.

Needing your guidance!
So at my consultation I have been suggested to go enquire about my autoimmune concerns and get accurate advice from a clinic which specialist in immunology, just so we have the advice of which
steroids
to take or NK cell testing etc and then come back to my clinic.

Over 2 years of steroids will it stop?
Treatment was 75mg of
Steroids
a day! Now that was a very strange time on how my body reacted to it? It did reduce the pain but it also attacked my skin and all those little bio's that happily co-exist on my body were attacked by the
steroids
.

Low dose steroids
I was then put on
steroids
(7.5 pred) as I wasn’t coping with awful pain, swelling etc. I’ve now moved to a urine antiseptic (Hiprex), instead of antibiotics to at least let me take my metoject jabs again but I’m still on pred.

Betcha your doubling rate is lower than mine :-)
Current theory is that the pile of
steroids
they threw at my spleen over the weekend has kicked loose some artifacts in my blood. Since this has also spiked my potassium (K) counts, they are bringing me back in tomorrow to rerun, as there's a chance of triggering heart arrhythmia at that level.

New GP won't prescribe Tramadol
He was given
steroids
and as his blood pressure was very high they doubled his antihypertensive meds. He was told to see the GP Monday. As they could not get past the Receptionist their son said they should change GP.They did so and a practice much nearer to where the live.

prednisolone 3 week course followd by surgery
Hi please can anyone advise how long to wait in between a prednisolone course and surgery ? I have heard from the nurses that if you have an IM steroid injection they postpone surgery for 6 to 8 weeks to allow the imunosuppresant effects to wear off before surgery. my RA consultant seems to think

4th infusion of immunotherapy drug JANX007
The MO and sponsor have stopped premedicating me with
steroids
and the infusion had been for 1 hour. They have cut the infusion time to 30 minutes. I am still running a low grade fever at times. Where my lesions are located has caused me to have increased pain in those locations.

Life after Rituximab? What is the next chapter?
Diagnose with GPA in December 2019 and after the usual cocktail of
Steroids
Cyclophosphamide and an unsuccessful spell with Azathioprine I now approach my next infusion of Rituximab in a couple of weeks. My Consultant is saying because my ANCA marker is so low this should be my last one.
