Prednisolone taper
I don't know if it's just a stomach bug or if it's low cortisol or if it's a side-effect of the
steroids
. I've contacted the endo nurse for advice but waiting for a reply. My asthma hasn't flared-up thankfully..! Anyone else had a similar experience?

Waking from sleep with upper abdominal pain for hours at a time
Following my CT scan I had a delayed allergic reaction to the contrast dye and was covered in painful rash from top to bottom- given
steroids
and antihistamine for 2 weeks- to my surprise EVERYTHING else went away too, all the symptoms listed above.

Rituximab IV
Over this month I have had so much IV
steroids
the side effects has been terrible. This infusion takes all day, so in hospital again for 6 to 8 hours. Just wanted to ask if anyone has had this medication and what their experiences have been. thanks in advance.

osteoporosis in hips but normal bone density in spine
I am 49 and on long term
steroids
so assuming this is the cause. A number of years ago I was prescribed oral biphosphanates that I didn’t tolerate following an osteopenic result on dexa scan I am not sure if anyone can answer this but my spine T scores were in the normal range.

Whoops! I made a boo-boo.
A week ago I visited the rheumatologist, who prescribed reducing Prednisone from 5mg to 4g daily and adding 20mg hydrocortisone. All part of the wean-off steroids.Stupidly, and because I was massively distracted by life circumstances, I didn't take in her instructions properly and reduced overnight

A lot has happened
The
steroids
have helped but I think I'm also disappointed I didn't get the steroid boost I wanted or usually get. The nurse told me if I find it hard to reduce to ring back again. So I think I will next week or the week after when I am off.

New diagnosis
Not best pleased as already have asthma but more because a lot of my care and treatment has been reactive...have some more antibiotics and
steroids
that clearly weren't working! I see my Respiratory Consultant tomorrow so let's see what he comes up with.

intermittent fasting - impact of delaying steroid intake
There are many health benefits including anti inflammatory and bone health in this process but I am wondering how my body might cope waiting for its
steroids
? I guess it’s only 1 day out of kilter and then it’s just a new time ? Any experience out there ? Thank you ( ps I’m on 3mg of pred )

scared mum unborn baby 34 weeks with kidney and bladder problems and no amniotic fluid.
I’ve had
steroids
to help with his lungs. They say prognosis is not a good outcome. Dialysis, transplants etc. First thing will be to get him to breathe.

rituximab reactions
Last infusion they pumped me full of
steroids
and still got rigors twice. Kind of dreading next week’s infusion although I have to say the
steroids
did give me a lot of energy the next day. They also ran it slowly, was there for over 6 hours. Anyone have had the same experience?

Curious about good spell
I take my
steroids
around 6.45 am, and actually feel pretty normal till about 8.30/9.00 am, at which point the fatigue envelops me and I'm done for the day. Till the magic happens. Does anyone else experience a similar, regular good spell ... and please, can anyone explain WHY ?!

PMR - need to take back control - GP call tomorrow
Where I think I am right now: I do have a polymyalgia that is extremely responsive to
steroids
. The stiffness and fatigue has been pretty debilitating. I believe that I have PMR and that I still have it.

RA reaction to medication would like general advice on how to manage RA
The
steroids
help ease the pain during the day but then evening/night time it gets worse again. I run out of
steroids
tomorrow so worried the pain will get a lot worse on Monday.

Conflicting information
She said I still wasn't to increase
steroids
until all results were back and if everything did indeed point to a flare then increasing
steroids
would resolve the symptoms in short term but as soon as I reduced again they'd still be there, and therefore she wouldn't recommend me doing that!
