PMR, travelling abroad, emergency pack of Pred ( “ sick day rules”) in case of illness
Even before I mentioned sick day rules ( he’d never heard of them and is to consult with his colleagues) GP saw no good reason why
steroids
should be increased in the event of illness in any event. I will be taking enough Pred with me in any event for unforeseen events but I’d be glad of thoughts.

Should I persevere and keep working?
After a couple of weeks off sick before the
steroids
kicked in I’ve continued to work but just the last few weeks I’ve had to force myself to go as I just feel exhausted all the time. Should I ask the doctor to sign me off work or keep pushing myself?

Is methotrexate better than continuing with tapering of steroids?
My rheumatology doctor has suggested I start taking methotrexate to enable me to come off the
steroids
quicker. However, I would be on the methotrexate for 2 years. My instinct is to carry on with the slow tapering of the Prednisolone.

overheating and PMR
However, the rheumy discounted this and after starting on
steroids
at 60 mg I quickly reduced to 10. I stayed on this for sometime because of stressful family issues. However, over the last six months I have successfully reduced to 5 mg of steroid.

no pred. before an ultrasound? And increasing dose of pred.
(Thanks to a mix up at the pharmacy, I now have enough
steroids
to sink a ship...) I realise I am very fortunate compared with many of you, in that I now have no pain at all in my arms and legs. Thank you all so much for your support.

which worked for the first 2.5 months but the last 2 months I have been getting bouts of diarrhoea. Therefore, i am now going to try prednisone! Hopefully it will work for me then I will start the Adalimumab injections.

Thank you
I feel encouraged now to insist on
steroids
if there is any question when I see the rheumatologist on Thursday. I will absolutely continue to follow these feeds and will report back my (hopefully) progress. This is the most positive I have felt in months so…..THANKYOU

Breathing problems
I had A7 day course of antibiotics, then a gap but last week more antibiotics,
steroids
and an asthma pump although I don't have asthma. The breathing was definitely improving and I took the last if the meds at 9 this morning. As the day has worn on my breathing has gradually got worse.

So glad we got away for 10 days and had the
steroids
to keep it at bay during that time.

Almost there
"The
steroids
have a fantastic success rate with almost immediate effect. One of cheapest to produce and great sales." Fair enough, it is business and commerce I thought whilst commissioning his wonderfully designed eco efficient heating system, to serve the swimming pool and house.

Pjsmart
It was caused because I attempted suicide in 1983 and the pills aspirated into my lungs so they had to give me massive doses of
steroids
to save my life and get me breathing again.

GCA now TIA, irregular heartbeat
Is this due to age, linked to GCA,
steroids
, bad luck? I eat a good diet, keep fit, balancing stresses better. It never ends. Definitely need to upgrade my dosage box now, so many tablets.

Feel dreadful after AFib episode
However after nearly 3 years on
steroids
because I also have Polymyalgia and decreased mobility due to recently diagnosed Scoliosis of the spine I still have a lot of weight to lose.My Cardiologist said that because of my weight I would not be considered for an Ablation and he is reluctant to prescribe

Hello and Pred dose increase?
My dermatologist has said it could be steroid myopathy so increasing
steroids
is not necessarily a great idea. A few days ago my neck also began stiffening up/ being achy although that could be due to having slept on my stomach I suppose. I know I’m very deconditioned.

I’m currently researching topical
steroids
and trying stretching exercises to help. Does anyone have any experiences/advice with these and let me know how effective they are? Many thanks!
