I did tell her that I had taken

when my GP first diagnosed High Cholesterol (over 10years ago now) but the didn't agree with me, given me pain in the lower right leg and sleeplessness.

I can tell everyone that I experienced brain fog during the period I was on

in addition to the muscle pain.

Why I want to research active microbiome therapies for Parkinsons
And, as my reservations about
statins
affirm, drugs have side effects. So if there are 2 ways to get a result, that are equally effective, a non-drug approach is favourite.

Is Atorvastatin causing my anxiety?
I'm also aware that mental health issues, for all sorts of reasons, are extremely common and I don't want to come off my
statins
unnecessarily. Has anyone else suffered anxiety/depression etc as a result of Atorvastatin and, if so what should I do?

To take or not take Statins?
LDL-C 161, CT Calcium score 979, passed a stress test, no symptoms. My Cardiologist wants me to take 40mg Lipitor. From my research it seems the benefits of a statin are over stated and the potential problems understated. How can one find out if high choleterol is causing ones athrosclorosis. Many people

Swollen ankles and redness
On apixaban, biosopol, blood pressure tabs,
statins

Hemochromatisis with a Ferritin of 394.0 ug/L - range for women is - 13.0 - 150.0 yg/L -
However, I think now that my use of Sertraline combined with
Statins
initially was an error, i.e. I tried to look at my past medical history which seemed to support this new revelation. I think that I will now try to find out my own DNA so any help in this connection will be much appreciated.

Trying to reduce cholestrol while staying gluten free
However the doctors despite this want to give me
statins
because my cholesterol was 6.5. I have heard that stress can be a factor in high cholesterol and I have had a lot of that over the last 8 months. I have refused
statins
but I do need to reduce my cholestrol.

Statins and PMR/GCa
“Well many people have been taking
statins
without developing PMR/GCA. That’s true of course, but then perhaps no one put two and two together!

Never ending
I had a small heart attack in March,I had 2 stents and since then have suffered with pericarditis, struggled to tolerate
statins
and now have Costochondritis with sternum and left side rib pain. I have been advised not to over exert myself, use ice packs and ibuprofen gel. So far no improvement.

Statins and PMR/GCA
Has anyone heard or read about a connection between
statins
may be being a trigger for PMR or GCA? I have read something about this, but not sure of the outcome of the research.
