Can't get a quote for Holiday Insurance until I specify what the medication I'm taking following Bypass surgery is for.
I tried to explain that I was taking
Statins
but not to lower my Cholesterol as its always been low I'm taking it as it guards against plaque breaking off the Artery walls and it's a proven anti inflammatory. I just gave up on that one. "Yes I'm taking it to lower my Cholesterol!"

Statins aid PCa control?
Is there a specific statin(s) that are helpful with PCa? One was mentioned a while ago, but I don't recall the name. My husband has been taking Pravastatin for high cholesterol for many years, but I don't think this was what was mentioned on this site. Any info?

Statins and ET
My GP has recommended I start taking
statins
. I emailed the specialist nurse and she has replied saying the GP will have taken everything into account. I have ET and take hydroxy and blood thinners. I have high risks of heart attack and strokes.

Inclisiran
The drug is called inclisiran and has already been in use for patients with heart and circulatory problems and continue to have high bad cholesterol levels despite
statins
. Has anybody on here had experience of this drug?

I’m aware of atorvastatin being one of those
statins
with potential for slowing advanced prostate cancer. Is rosuvastatin in that same category?

PAD after Pmr
He said its not bad enough for a stent as he can feel all my pulses, and said I had to go on aspirin and
statins
. Well I've always used complementary medicine, and never taken much medication until I got Pmr. So this has knocked me for 6. Apparently I've got to take them for life.

Also my Dr called me about my cholesterol being 5.7 and how it's the level they advise starting

which I declined and will review in a year.
