How to stop Drs taking the "P"
I have just been advised to take
statins
but the NHS guide lines say they are not suitable for over 70s and certain other illnesses. Plus I suffer from allergies so could end up with an unwanted reaction .

Results out of range. Deal with high cholesterol
My doctor wants me to start
, which I have refused. I would like Endo to lower dose of Levo to 100mg and put me on small dose T3 to help lower LDL. Cholesterol has improved on 125mg. Cholesterol issue is my and my doctor's main concern.

What AI Says About Supplements and Off-Label Drug Use Regarding Prostate Cancer
In summary, further research is still needed, but protective associations with lower hazard ratios for prostate cancer progression have been suggested by some meta-analyses so far for
statins
, vitamin D, metformin and aspirin consumption. However, causal implications remain actively debated.

Darolutamide and Desunomab Questions
And of all the
statins
, I have been taking rosuvastatin, specifically because like darolutamide, it does not cross that barrier. So is darolutamide with rosuvastatin good because they both don’t cross the barrier, or bad because one inhibits the other?

I’m putting it down to my meds, 80mg
Statins
and all the others usually prescribed for our condition. I’ve got an appointment with my doctor in a few weeks and hope they can possibly tweak a few things to make me feel better again.

Back ggedt issue I’ve had is with my
statins
. I thought it was the Bisoprolol (1.25mg ) and ramipril (half a 1.25mg tablet) that was making me dizzy , fatigued and zombie like every afternoon to early evening. Plus I had cognitive impairment, felt bloody cold and other symptoms.

My high cholesterol I know can be because of underactive thyroid but the nurse doesn’t seem to want to do anything about this other than suggest
statins
which I explained to her I didn’t want to take them because they are not good if you have thyroid problems I understand?

Living Hell
I also have the usual combination of
statins
, blood pressure, waterworks, anti-reflux and painkillers of a 74 year old on top of the previously mentioned. I wonder if they actually think about all these interactions before just handing out another prescription for this and that.

On statins and why I’m glad I said no.
Followed by very soon after:- Following our recent text regarding the use of
statins
, it has come to light that this guidance is only intended for GP and patient awareness and is applicable only to those patients who have started a statin within the last 3 months.

Thank you for your replies to my question. I will ask as soon as I next see doctor. It still appears to be a minefield of choices when you have Nash and diabetes as well as all the other ailments that come with being 75. I’m fortunate to be quite fit but do work at it so one good thing. Thanks again
