How to stop Drs taking the "P"

My Doctors are running me round in circles , treating me like a nimby pimby idiot woman. They are now ringing me without an appointment, insisting I have to go in , sending texts on my phone that my phone security says is dodgy, then when I attend appointment they are running very late. It takes me 2hours to attend a ten minute appointment at the GPs , it takes two hours to go to the local hospital and two hours to get back. They have now acquired another 1000 patients when they cannot manage the ones they had. Now we have to queue on the phone till a recetionist can answer the call . I have no named GP since my GP retired and only one male Gp I believe in the practice. I have just been advised to take statins but the NHS guide lines say they are not suitable for over 70s and certain other illnesses. Plus I suffer from allergies so could end up with an unwanted reaction . Then theres a Dr at Synexus wanting me to go on a drug trial of drugs that cause strokes & heart attacks to clear them for use in overweight people to assist losing weight. But that still leaves me with my life limiting illness and the other problem of because we look after ourselves and keep out of hospital we are presumed to be well. It also leaves us suffering the effects of the illness we do have. and any accidents that occur in the mean time. My son is an army veteran so are some of the ambulance drivers who attend me , and my step daughter is a community matron. Thats my moan for this week Oh has anyone had a BT call saying they are going to be cut off because they are using their phone illegally? I am not even with BT. Virgin agree its a scam.

don’t understand Katie why your GP says they are dangerous after 70 we have been on them many years now 75 and encourged to keep taking them which is sensible . What a time you are having. So sorry for you

Thanks for reply, the Gp is not discussing it , the NHS & patient leaflets say not for those over 70 however that is only certain brands . Plus it is suggested that statins are not suitable in certain health conditions one being Kidney disease which I have. It is very confusing both for myself, the doctors & nurses. Then it is almost impossible to get an appointment to sort the matter when things go wrong. Plus in my case I live alone if I am taken ill I am dependent on ambulance services to come out. But there are thousands more in my position who have to proceed with care to .
