Anyone had very bad chemo side effects back 6 mths after last chemo - or is it back?
Hi, had 1st reocurrence Feb 13 after nearly 2 yrs remission. Had carbo/taxol this time and the taxol is the one that seems to be the worst. Responded well, bloods back to normal after 3 chemos and scan all clear in July. Panicked a bit in Oct with problems which turned out to be hiatus hernia and stress

Definition of Bradycardia
Happy New Year all. My question is, do I have Bradycardia, my pulse rate is 51 to 54. I take 80mgs of Sotalol twice daily and have been in NSR since August 2013. I feel very fatigued but my GP is quite happy with my pulse rate. I would value your opinions.

Hi folks and a happy new year to you all. I haven't been on for a while although I read and sometimes reply a lot. I've been doing my best to enjoy my time after last chemo but now i'm about to start 5th line chemo of weekly taxol. I've been offered a choice of Hickman line or portacath and don't know

Waiting times for treatment of recurrence
I've not posted for a while as there has been so much going on. Completed 3rd line treatment in March but developed cysts. Got these drained in April. Lost my job and then to top it off mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. She had a bilateral mastectomy in august and is now undergoing chemotherapy

Taxol and eating/drinking soy products?
I'm reading anti cancer, and it states there is an impact on the efficacy of taxol if soy products are consumed. Does anyone know about this? I'm trying to find things to combat the menopausal symptoms hence the soy! Thanks

Dizziness and fatigue.
The last couple of days I have felt really light headed and very very tired, I am in NSR but my BP can be a little low. I have noticed in earlier posts that Sotalol might be the culprit. I will seek advice from my cardiology nurse re: decreasing the dosage (I am on 8omg twice daily) I am just wondering

Clarithromycin
I recently have been given Sotalol ,a beta blocker, to take for a recently diagnosed heart arrythmia. A recent chest infection and G.P gave me clarithromycin. I queried it as label said they do not mix. . She insisted it was fine. Took it but my cardiologist was not pleased. Any body else any experience

So tiered , don't know what is going on
Since three days I'm having a lot of ectopic beats and low BP 85/40 along with short breath , I reduced the sotalol to 40x40 instead of 80 twice a day which supposed to control those beats I'm having strange symptoms just like irregular beat then squeezing in my chest and shoulder with hot flashes

Nonsustained paroxysmal supra ventricular tachycardia and paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia and frequent ventricular ectopic
The above mentioned diagnoses had been written in my recent medical report in addition of recurrent atrial flutter which had been treated successfully by ablation last Aug My doctor is recommending another ablation to treat only the SVT , but never mentioned anything about the VT , he advised me not

Two months after ablation
As most of you aware I had my ablation two months back and I'm lucky since didn't have any flutter till now But I'm having frequent SVT for minutes to one hour 4-7 times a week even I'm using sotalol twice daily My question is there any chance that it may stop without going through another ablation

I discussed with my doctor cryoablation as a second trial to treat SVT
As I understood from him it is not per enact and I should carry out radio frequency ablation as a final treatment He agreed to write for me a report recommending my case for cryoablation which is not available here in my country Appreciate any feedback about it , and which centers may carry out such

Taking meds - purely a reflective piece.
I am one of those who believe that you don't take meds, unless it is life threatening. So my question to myself is at what point does it become life threatening? I take Flecainide as a pill in the pocket to stop an attack, rather than daily to prevent one and up until now that has worked for 5 years
