I had a Laminectomy due to Severe
Spinal
Stenosis
which initially provided 4 months of relief. It then failed and deteriorated again. After that I’ve also had open heart surgery with a Triple Bypass and Mitral Valve Repair. After collapsing last year I’ve now been diagnosed with Heart Failure.

Post spine fusion pain management
Hi all 13 years ago I was diagnosed with degenerative discs, facet joint disease causing immense low back and sciatic pain. I went for a disc decompression and waited for it to heal, unfortunately pain increased so I went back to the consultant, we took another MRI and to his surprise he could no longer

i am 10 days out from quad bypass surgery. i have had 5 spinal fusion surgeries and none of them compare to this. mornings are brutal . i have a friend that helps but i am one of those who find it hard to half to depend on others. just asking for a little ; what to realistically expect the next 4 weeks

stopping blood thinners/antiplatelets for steroid injections
I saw an orthopaedic surgeon the other day for an ongoing painful back problem -- bulging disks,
spinal
stenosis
, spondylosthetis (sp?). He said I didn't need surgery (whew!) as I'm completely mobile and active so he offered steroid injections into the facet joints.

Spinal cord stimulation
I live in Ireland and saw a pain specialist as I have run out of options to treat my chronic refractory migraines. He is going to implant a spinal cord stimulation as he said it should me a lot and give me a better quality of life. He is the best pain doctor in Ireland and I had to wait 6 months to see

Spinal Stenosis
I was diagnosed with this condition almost 3 years ago and initially advised to consider surgery (not urgent) which looking at the details, was for me quite scary, so with some physiotherapy and occasional paracetamol help, I am coping. So what advice from someone with a similar condition would advise

Hi, Please excuse if I make any spelling mistakes or miss out any words. I had back surgery about 9 years ago for a prolapse disc L4/L5 S1 sadly two surgeries later it failed which still left me in pain with nerve damage. Finally after putting up with the pain my Pain Consultant referred me to see

Seroma advice
Hi, I had spinal surgery last September, I was rushed back in hospital 2 weeks later with a back infection. They flushed me out with antibiotics and put 42 stitches in my back. After that I had lot's of e.coli infections until December. Since then I've had 2 MRI scans with contrast and a CT scan.

Mindfulness
I have not written for here some time but I have had PMR for about 12 years. When I retired 10 years ago I was under a lot of stress and attended a mindfulness based stress reduction course for 8 weeks. This changed my life! (for the better!). More recently I have been looking at Mindfulness again
