Fluctuating GFR
All of these past six months my creatinine, phosphorus, potassium and
sodium
levels were all normal and no protein or anything weird in my urine. Even my doctor is perplexed by this. Has anyone out there experienced anything like this or know someone who has?

Upset stomach daily and noisy bowels
Hi, new here. Was wondering if anyone had any advice, as I’m not sure if it’s Crohns that I definitely suffer from. Since February, I have had diarrhoea almost daily, almost constant bowel noises (growling, popping) and occasional abdominal pain. I have found that it’s worsened by the likes of chocolate

It’s done now so hopefully I’ve not done any more damage but I assume the risk is high

Newly diagnosed - help!
I’ve been prescribed Eltroxin 50mg a day (Levothyroxine
sodium
). I’ve lots of questions! I didn’t suspect a thing as I have a healthy weight (175cm and 61kg). But I’ve been utterly exhausted, brain fog etc. I put it down to working life/two kids! Is it hopeless to continue TTC?

Cortisol results - help needed please
Recent bloods also showed
sodium
, potassium, and magnesium levels are in the high or normal range, so it looks like no more mineral dumping is going on, and I have reduced my salt intake considerably. Things like olives and Parma ham now taste salty to me, whereas before they did not.

allergy to T3 itself? input appreciated
Ditto with NDT, which I assume has a natural form of triiodothyronine vs liothyronine
sodium
. So although I've been told it is impossible to be allergic to T3 itself, that seems to be the case?

Imodium question
Hi everyone I’ve suffered with IBS for years. Along with M.E. Anyway I’m going through a particular bad phase with the dreaded D. Mainly in the evening. I’m going out for a family meal tomorrow. I’m worried as to whether I’m going to have an attack. So planning on taking a couple of Imodium before hand

Will levothyroxine help do you think ?
Today based on the above test results and my symptoms she gave me perscription for levothyroxine
sodium
. At 25 MCG to be taken every other day until next function test in Oct. I would like to think that thyroid hormone will help but I honestly think my poor thyroid has had enough.

Help with Sodium Pico sulphate and movicol to help with soiling
I’m looking for some help. My daughter (will be 5 in September)followed a disimpaction regime about 6/7 weeks ago. This was her first disimpaction. It worked well and has lessened her soiling greatly but we are now in a cycle of 5/6 days with no accidents and then about 4 days running of constant accidents

Movicol
Movicol contains
sodium
bicarbonate whereas laxido contains
sodium
carbonate which is more caustic and less effective. Movicol I'd more expensive and therefore GP's are less likely to prescribe it. Movicol is not so harsh and does not cause so much pain and bloating!

Thyroxine and treatment of hypothyroidism: seven decades of experience
Finally a

I had a blood test recently and
sodium
, potassium, and magnesium were all within range on the high side, so I'm thinking I'm no longer dumping minerals? This would also suggest my adrenals are improving? Any advice on this development would be greatly appreciated.

Cinnamon brings new hope for Parkinson’s Disease
My friend has been using cinnamon and I'd begun to believe that his success was due to properties of
Sodium
benzoate and how they acted in the gut.

17 years with metastatic prostate cancer - operation 2 and a dance with Lu
It’s been around eleven months since my last post, so I thought I’d put together an update for those of you who are interested. It’s quite a long one. Apologies for that, but hopefully it will be of interest. It’s also helped me just to set it all out. A kind of therapy, if you will. So, after a few
