zytiga failed going on oxfigo radium 223

Had 4 bone mets in pelvis 9/18 started on zytiga and predisone psa was 4 in 3 months went to 0.68 by 8/19 up to 8.13 MO stopped Zytiga took bone scan 9/19 now have 9 mets 4 on spine now doing radiation on 2 mets that are on spine. Went for 2nd opinion with Dr Hussain in Chicago Il (excellent) and going to start Radium223 and xgeva. Question is witch is the best to take zometa or xgeva and is there anything else that I could be taking while on xofigo/223 trying to be my own advocate. SoI don't end up with more mets !! Thanks

My husband is on zytiga and Xgeva he goes every month for xgeva. He had an Xgeva injection back in February while he was on chemo and it sucked a good portion of his calcium out of his body that he ended up in the hospital for a few days to get calcium treatments. So his oncologist took him off the Xgeva until he was done with chemo and radiation. About a week ago he started taking Xgeva again and the so far so good he gets headaches and a little joint pain which is oncologist said that is to be expected and that he needs to drink plenty of water and to take calcium pills and vitamin D

You can't do better than Maha Hussain. Xgeva has a small edge in fracture reduction, Celebrex + Zometa increased survival by 22%. Email her this link and ask her opinion:
