Zytiga did not Work - Chemo or RA 223 Next
Question for all you warriors. Have you had Zytiga fail? Yesterday I met with my MO and he reviewed the results of my PSA - now 15 - up from 4 - ninety days ago when I started Zytiga, the bone scan - some mets larger and some new ones - and CT scan with no mets in the soft tissues. He said we

Why continue LUPRON when ADT not working?
I have castration resistant prostate cancer with a Testosterone level of 6. I am not sure why I am still taking Lupron when it is clearly not working? Ideas? Like everyone, I hate the side effects! Thanks in advance! History: Diagnosed at Stage 4 (2 years + 3 months ago). Reached mCRPC 1 year

Have I really reached the last hitching post. Its truly surreal.
At the risk of being mellow dramatic, I have recently been disqualified from a clinical trial bombesin) due to lack of expression on the Psma pet scan, prior to this brief attempt at a novel clinical trial I was on my 6th round of carboplatin and cabataxal, my M.o informed me of a couple more trials

Have I got kidney disease.
I'm sorry to barge into the group but has anyone got a clue about my severe left side pain. I have low sodium at 130. Gfr at 69. Urine Osmolity at 95. Potassium 4.6. I also am type 1 diabetic. Hashi underactive thyroid. Any advice taken as my gp takes no notice of it at all.

Anybody tried magnesium injections?
Just out of interest? I feel my magnesium uptake is pretty low, despite taking a few supplements a day and having regular baths in epsom salts. I've read that often injections are recommended but, obviously, these aren't available OTC in the UK. So just curious whether anybody had and felt the benefits

IgA for 10+ years and sudden drop of eGFR 85 to 69
Hello all! I’m a 37 years old female who was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy about 11 years ago. A little bit of my backstory... it was around this time of year back in 2009, one day purpara (blood spots) started flaring up on my lower legs. I saw many doctors and specialists, eventually I ended up in

Off topic: "Are Women the Fitter Sex?".
There was a very interesting programme on Channel 4 (UK) this evening with Dr Ronx, called "Are Women the Fitter Sex?". It discussed how women and men respond differently to the Covid virus infection, and how clinical testing can fail to take account of meds affecting men and women in different ways

Asthma combined with other conditions?
I have had asthma since I was 19 and next month I am 50. About 3 years ago, I was diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and another related condition beginning with H? I have PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. Lockdown has been difficult in terms of staying active

Movicol and Sodium picosulfate
My son has constipation since March went up to 12 movicol sachets a day. Did not poo for 4 weeks. He was impacted so he had a flush through for 3 days in June. Came home all clear on movicol. Severe cramping pains since September and feeling sick. Just been in hospital for another 3 days. Cries himself

Clinical Trial Niraparib or XOFIGO
Good morning, I am new to this forum and am thankful for having found it. I am trying to learn as much as I can about my husband’s diagnosis and pray that we are making the best decisions for his treatments. To this point we have not sought out a 2nd opinion and have wholeheartedly trusted in the treatment

Pre screening for the clinical trial. I didn't know what I didn't know.
this past Thursday I was eligible to be pre screened for the clinical trial, I am now in that category, at least temporarily because it was determined I am anemic, I am scheduled for a transfusion next week to bring my count up. I am in between chemo, as well i have extensive bone Mets and luckily

Saw my Oncologist today, not good news.
Those following me know I've had bad luck with pain and treatments, getting pain under control has been a real challenge and last 3 treatments have failed. The Radium 223 saw my PSA rise quickly half way through, he tried Zytiga + Predisolone my PSA initially dropped to 88 in early Nov but by Dec it

More Radium 223 vs EBRT questions
Though this quote is from an old Vogelzang article, it does not seem contradicted by newer studies: "Both EBRT and radium-223 are effective at relieving pain, but both may decrease bone marrow function. Since radium-223 has a documented survival advantage compared with the standard of care, which includes

Do I have a thyroid problem?
Hi all, I have no idea if I have a thyroid problem, but I think I do. I have been struggling to conceive and whenI have I have suffered miscarriages. I also noticed 3 years ago a small goitre in my neck. I had tests done in the summer as I spoke with my GP about being tired and my neck and my fertility
