Curios
With 15% of kidneys working, can you go off the rails once in a GREAT while and have cheese pizza, fish and chips or fried chicken strips, or low sodium potato chips, maybe a BLT. The answer is probably no, but hope that once in a blue moon is okay.

Thursday Lunch/brunch: Pumpkin mushroom Coconut Milk Soup.😋🥣❤️🌺
Happy Thursday everyone! Hope your day is joyful so far! 🤗 For today, I made my pumpkin soup in my pressure cooker. Remove the skin was the hard part! 😅 I remember my grandma always said if you eat this, you will be so smart. 😂 I love this soup for many health benefits and great skin and eyes. 😄❤️

Yes, life is a bitch at times,I have had IBS due to a sensitivity to gluten, seeds and nuts. Had a CT scan which proved my guts are healthy, it's the urgency that l find difficult to cope with. Since lockdown so many places have closed, so my usual toilet routes are not there anymore, so l have lost

Alendronate- side effect (diarrhea)
I started alendronate 3 weeks ago and 3 days. In week 3 I am experiencing diarrhea, sometimes uncontrollable unless I take Imodium. I’ve taken this 4 years ago for 4 weeksand experienced no side effects. I wonder long I should wait to get use to it. Trying to avoid prolia. Has anyone experienced diarrhea

Reversed my Hashimoto's with dietary and lifestyle changes
I was diagnosed about three years ago with Hashimoto's. All my thyroid hormone levels were normal but my anti-TPO antibodies were out of range. I had all the usual symptoms: fatigue, weight gain and then the inability to lose weight, hair loss, dry skin, you name it. I also developed severe cold urticaria

Prep for Colonoscopy
Hi all I am booked in for colonoscopy in a couple of weeks and I am a bit worried, not only about the procedure but also about the prep you need to take before to ensure the bowel is empty. Here in the UK the prep I have been given is Moviprep, containing lots of ingredients including sodium and potassium

Iodine for Underactive Thyroid
Hi. I just wondered, has anybody used iodine for underactive thyroid? I’ve seen supplements for it, but I’ve read reports that it can make things worse so I just thought I’d put the question out there. Thank you.

Just read the thyroid UK article but it feels kind of bemusing It says "The plan was for Jo to stay on carbimazole for two years but it seemed that most people needed either surgery or radioactive iodine after that anyway so Josef asked if he could have treatment right away, and the doctor agreed. Smart Choice starts with You! I made what I called: Koko Bar 😁👍😋❤️🌺
With our day to day busy life, we want something efficient and powerful source of nutrients and energy. Something on the go that is quick, wholesome, healthy and beneficial to our health; hence we usually pick up a protein and energy bar for breakfast, midday snack, or after a workout. I do purchase

Underdosed with Armour
I have a couple of questions regarding people’s experience with Armour Thyroid after reformulation. A quick history: I have MS (diagnosed in 1981) and Grave’s Disease (hyperthyroidism) (diagnosed in 1986). Thyroid ablation with RAI in 1987. On Synthroid for over a year during which I was basically non-functional

Unplug sleeping aid
Sleep is poor at present so this is a long shot. Does anyone use this product? It’s vegan with a blend of botanicals and minerals. I have used it successfully before but don’t know if it’s ok with AFib. It has small quantities of magnesium citrate and zinc picolinate. I know to be careful with amount

Gadolinium vs Iodine for Radiation Treatment
Gadolinium vs Iodine for Radiation Treatment A long-standing problem with cancer radiation therapy is that it is not effective at the center of tumors where oxygen levels are low due to the lack of blood vessels penetrating deeply into the tissue. X-ray irradiation needs oxygen to generate DNA-damaging

Low sodium levels and high blood pressure
Have had several blood tests over past year which show low sodium levels. Last result showed level of 128 so doctor changed my blood pressure tablets from Bendroflumethide ( which I had been on for many years ) to Candesartan . As I need to keep blood pressure levels as low as possible can anyone suggest

Advice please?
I had a TT in Sept 21. Follicular and no subsequent RAI. I’ve been monitoring my bloods and Vit levels and these are my latest results. My ferritin and cortisol remains high and I don’t know why? Also my T3 concerns me. It has remained at this level even when I was on higher dose but T4 was 22 I am on

Colistimethate sodium powder for use in a nebuliser mixed with Salbutamol instead of Saline.
Good afternoon all, on a daily basis I take the above powdered inhaled antibiotic (Promixin) through my nebuliser with a saline solution to help with my pseudomonas bugs. The other day I noticed I had ran out of saline so I had to used one of my salbutamol solutions to mix it. Will this have been ok
