Yes, life is a bitch at times,I have had IBS due to a sensitivity to gluten, seeds and nuts. Had a CT scan which proved my guts are healthy, it's the urgency that l find difficult to cope with. Since lockdown so many places have closed, so my usual toilet routes are not there anymore, so l have lost my confidence in going places. Imodium really helps in the short term, also Aloe Vera gel, Silicolgel does and Manuka honey, but it has to be of high strength which is expensive. The stress of going into the unknown is terrifying. This year our family holiday is in the Uk, and l am trying so many things to make sure l don't embarrass myself or them. A holiday based around a pool in the sunshine is out of reach for now, where a toilet is on hand. This year it's a week of going to new places and l am panicking as l just don't know what how l will manage. So l totally understand how you feel, try the things l have stated one might hopefully work for you.Take care

I feel exactly the same as you so you are not alone, even for every day life I need on average 4 Imodium per day! Even when I don’t need them I am that panicky that I will have to go urgently! So my advice take the Imodium and enjoy yourself x

Thank you for your reply,l am pleased that Imodium works for you. If l take more than 2 in one day then l can not go to the toilet for 3 days and become so uncomfortable. Last week l tried 1 Imodium for 4 days in a row as my doctor had suggested, but by day 5 l felt ill, prune juice sorted that out!!! Have you ever tried liquid Imodium?

Perhaps you could buy a camper van with a toilet, a friend of mine did this years ago.
