I am not sure whether it was the consequence of my application of reverse psychology or my-on the whole-affable GP suddenly having an epiphany, but the last couple of telephone consultations that I’ve had, have been quite constructive. I did however have to collect all the toys that were left littered

With 15% of kidneys working, can you go off the rails once in a GREAT while and have cheese pizza, fish and chips or fried chicken strips, or low sodium potato chips, maybe a BLT. The answer is probably no, but hope that once in a blue moon is okay.

Opinion and advice please
My recent test result is 'abnormal' with recommendation to reduce Levo. My TSH level is low but is it too low at 0.07 and FT4 seems high. I don't know how to interpret the results. Really steamed because the GP has already reduced my prescription from 125 to 100mcg without input from me. During Covid

Thursday Lunch/brunch: Pumpkin mushroom Coconut Milk Soup.😋🥣❤️🌺
Happy Thursday everyone! Hope your day is joyful so far! 🤗 For today, I made my pumpkin soup in my pressure cooker. Remove the skin was the hard part! 😅 I remember my grandma always said if you eat this, you will be so smart. 😂 I love this soup for many health benefits and great skin and eyes. 😄❤️

Since lockdown so many places have closed, so my usual toilet routes are not there anymore, so l have lost

Alendronate- side effect (diarrhea)
I started alendronate 3 weeks ago and 3 days. In week 3 I am experiencing diarrhea, sometimes uncontrollable unless I take Imodium. I’ve taken this 4 years ago for 4 weeksand experienced no side effects. I wonder long I should wait to get use to it. Trying to avoid prolia. Has anyone experienced diarrhea

Prep for Colonoscopy
Hi all I am booked in for colonoscopy in a couple of weeks and I am a bit worried, not only about the procedure but also about the prep you need to take before to ensure the bowel is empty. Here in the UK the prep I have been given is Moviprep, containing lots of ingredients including sodium and potassium

Smart Choice starts with You! I made what I called: Koko Bar 😁👍😋❤️🌺
With our day to day busy life, we want something efficient and powerful source of nutrients and energy. Something on the go that is quick, wholesome, healthy and beneficial to our health; hence we usually pick up a protein and energy bar for breakfast, midday snack, or after a workout. I do purchase

Low sodium levels and high blood pressure
Have had several blood tests over past year which show low sodium levels. Last result showed level of 128 so doctor changed my blood pressure tablets from Bendroflumethide ( which I had been on for many years ) to Candesartan . As I need to keep blood pressure levels as low as possible can anyone suggest

Colistimethate sodium powder for use in a nebuliser mixed with Salbutamol instead of Saline.
Good afternoon all, on a daily basis I take the above powdered inhaled antibiotic (Promixin) through my nebuliser with a saline solution to help with my pseudomonas bugs. The other day I noticed I had ran out of saline so I had to used one of my salbutamol solutions to mix it. Will this have been ok

Salt, hypothyroidism, high BP and fluid retention
I have been on blood pressure medication for a few years and although it has lowered my BP (initally 180/105), it´s still borderline high according to GP (never < 130/90 in doctor´s office). I also tend to retain fluid and look puffy. My GP says that is what you´d expect in someone who eats too much

Change in plans - looks like neuroendocrine
From my last post, I had an allergic reaction 15 minutes into my first dose of Docetaxel - part of a clinical trial combining Docetaxel and Xofigo (Radium-223). Two weeks later, I had a second reaction despite additional precautions (oral decadron 3 days prior, IV Benadryl and Decadron immediately prior

Options after Zytiga fails
I've been on the Magnitude clinical trial for 8 months and now Zytiga has failed. I have extensive bone mets (greater than 30). The most recent bone scan shows 5 new mets so I'll be off the trial. I'm in Canada and think my next options are either Radium 223 or chemo. I've had genetic testing and

I’m really struggling to find a happy medium for a maintenance dose for my son. We are constantly having to disimpact because he get blocked up whenever I reduce the laxatives

Hi, been taking magnesium citrate for a few weeks, about 200 mg a day, upped it to 300 mg the last couple of days. Couldn’t sleep last night as every time I was just about to drop off , I got the sensation of falling( best way I can describe it) and I was jolted awake again. Vaguely remember someone
