They seem to be more frequent now than at the beginning when they were just occasional, every couple of days or so. They dont usually go on for long (although I have had some episodes lasting more than 6 hours) but I can experience it several times a day in short bursts.
Something else which I have never seen discussed so far is that since the procedure I am suffering from a persistent upset tummy...I have had a lot of indigestion as well, but I am talking about the ‘other end’. I have to use Imodium or I would not be able to leave the house!! Surely this can’t be from the Cryoablation? At first I put it down to recovering from the GA, as I know that can affect the bowels, but not after 6 weeks or more?

Jeanette49 - I posted a similar query re the AF and bowel problems the other day. CD Dreamer sent me a very useful and reassuring reply about any possible link together with some web addresses to cover dietary queries. My colitis/crohns is still not resolved (definitely think you need to see gp to eliminate this possibility for you) but things are getting better foodwise and my magnesium/potassium levels, which I believe can affect the AF, are more stable. All our bits being joined together make for problems sometimes! Good luck
I had a colonoscopy a few months ago and an abdo CT scan which was all clear for bowel disease. I do have however IBS, (over 35 years) which had improved in recent years, and I wondered if the Cryoablation and anxiety has caused a major flare up of it again. It was fine previously in spite of long and frequent episodes of AF and chaotic rhythm.
