Dietary analysis app you might like....and how much methionine is too much?
I've turned into a bit of a food geek and I've just discovered an app which analyses my food diary and shows, amongst many other things, methionine, calcium and sodium intake. If anyone is interested, it's called Cronometer. I'm trying (like many of us) to reduce my methionine by reducing my animal protein

Ruxo and diarrhea
Has anyone else on Ruxo had really bad diarrhoea? Since being on it I have had regular bouts of “ the runs” and have had to take Imodium. I have felt so much better in all other respects on the Ruxo and don’t want to have to stop using it.

Has anyone had an iron infusion/injection and did you feel the benefits from this straight away
Well after seeing the Nephrologist yesterday they have said that I am anaemic and have to have iron infusion/injection not sure which now. I asked if it was related to my sore tongue (diagnosed as Geographic Tongue 6 months ago) and she said it was. Hopefully this will go away when I have had the iron

Co2 levels
Nephrologist visit this week and CO2 low. He added sodium bicarbonate. Can anyone explain more about this? Can it be diet related and how do I help it with what I eat?

Hi all, Sorry to be here but grateful that you are here to support and inform me. I’ve been reading posts every night for a while. I’m a generally fit and healthy 62 year old guy, was diagnosed in January after 3 months of unfortunately misdirected management on prolonged antibiotics as prostatitis.

IBS and a new job - major concerns and anxieties. Advice please!
Hi everyone. I have had ibs for ten years, it flares up when I’m stressed really badly, then settles slightly more (but still present) when I’m relaxed. Overall it is a daily battle, as soon as I eat something I get stomach ache and need to run to the toilet urgently. I survive by taking Imodium - I

Ascites or belly fat?
Is there a way to tell a difference in the two besides weighing yourself? My fiancé looks like he has put a bit of weight on in his belly and his face. His face was looking gaunt so I’m thankful for the weight but I’m worried it’s ascites coming back as he has stopped his diuretics a couple of weeks

What happens next?
A bit of history first... my mum has always had repeated chest infections and as long as I can remember she’s always choked on her food. About 3 years ago, she finally had scans done and they discovered a shadow on her right lung. They gave different antibiotics to try and clear up the infection she

Hi I have long qt so can't take many meds. Took anitriptyline for years but had to come off I also have migraine aura and nerve disturbances. Neurologist reckons it's sodium channels. A short trial on gabapentin low dose worsened my depression. At least I got a little sleep though. So now I have insomnia

imodium
Hi, just wondering if other people are using imodium to control symptoms. I want to take just one a day to slow things down a bit and keep weight on. One doctor in the early stages of my illness said not to take, in case it causes an infection. However after diagnosis another doctor told me to go ahead

Is she constipated?
Hi. My 9 year old a couple of years ago was impacted. Went through the regime of movicol and sodium picosulfate and then started to wean her off of it. Last month or so she’s been running back and forth to the toilet all the time. Sometimes every 10 minutes she’s in there. She says she needs a poo. When
