Anyone else not helped by dopamine agonists?

Tapering Sinemet
I have been taking Sinemet in a very low dosage of 6/25-25 for the last 2 months for the first time to help my dystonia but it didn’t work much so I am tapering it off to stop taking it completely in the next few days. Please share your thoughts about stopping Sinemet here.

How the VieLight 810 helped my husband
My husband's good results fromthe VieLight 810 I will preface this by saying that about one month before using the VieLight 810, he started on Seraquel, 25 mg. for psychosis. At that time, he was totally disoriented, wandering the house constantly, wearing diapers and couldn't sleep at all. It brought

Using Azo bladder control or similar supplement
My PWP has always had to get up multiple times in the night to urinate. With PD, the frequency is a little more often, and he can't always get out of bed quickly enough. The anxiety he feels going to bed, and panic when he can't get up, are keeping us both awake most of the night, almost every night

Post DBS Surgery
I am now just over two months out from my DBS surgery. At my last neuro appointment, the doc changed my meds from taking one 25/100 Sinemet every two hours to taking one 25/100 Sinemet and one extended release 25/100 Sinemet every three to four hours. He also wants me to increase my regulator each

Rx vs. Supplements your thoughts please
Why do I think I would be better to use supplements rather than prescription drugs? Is it because I believe big Pharma’s main objective is to make money rather than help cure? Why do I think taking Levocarb and Sinemet will have negative results somewhere in my body? Is it because, when listening to

Worse before better
Does anyone find that when they take Sinemet that they worse e.g. My cramp/dystonia gets worse before it gets better and if I try to have a 50 between doses if I feel I am going off if I don't time it exactly right I go off anyway and have to wait for the next round of drugs which take an hour to kick

Using carbonated drinks to take Sinemet.
When I was recovering from back surgery, spinal fusion to fix sciatica pain I had down both legs, I was introduced to the idea of using ginger ale when I take Sinemet. I was at Medstar Georgetown University hospital and was visited by a doctor and a few students. It seemed to work faster. On top of that

Will taking mucuna pruriens (instead of Sinemet) prevent peripheral neuropathy?
Is the peripheral neuropathy a side effect of Carbidopa, or a reaction to the downtime from Sinemet? My friend had been using Mucuna Pruriens, but I recently discovered it only contained 15% L-dopa and would like to get a higher grade, maybe 98% though I wonder if a 40% powder or capsule would work better

Post DBS Surgery
I am now nine weeks out from surgery. Last week I used my regulator to increase the voltage being sent to my brain. I was rewarded by feeling more energy and also being able to reduce my Sinemet 25/100 by one. Last week I walked to my mailbox and upon removing the mail, decided to walk a bit around

Sudden worsening of symptoms
Earlier this week, my husband was doing really well overall (he's on sinemet, Neupro and amantadine, btw). Then 3 days ago, his condition deteriorated terrifyingly quickly. He can no longer get in/out of bed or chairs, walk unassisted, or dress himself. Not interested in food. Some disorientation

Has anyone tried Nuplazid for Hallucination?
My husband, 81 yrs old has vivid and frightening hallucinations that seem to reduce/improve if he SKIPS a dose of Sinemet now & then. Does the drug contribute to this problem?

Losing my mind!
I have rls in my feet, legs, hands and arms. It has gotten out of control. Requip was not working after about 6 years. Just started Sinemet 2 days ago and it is doing nothing. I twitch about 20 out of 24 hours. I have been getting , at most, 2 hours of sleep with occasional 5-10 minute dozes. I don't

Post DBS Surgery
Good morning all! I am now 7 weeks since my DBS surgery. Yes! That is the answer if anyone asks if I am happy with my decision to have the surgery. I am now walking briskly each day, active with my bookkeeping clients, and have rejoined society as an active participant. I am also "in training"

Morning dystonia
Does anyone have a solution for morning dystonia caused by levodopa. Someone suggested nepro patch can help. I have to wait to take Sinemet which although causes it also stops it. So I have to wait an,hour or two every morning with this awful till I can take first Sinemet. I was looking for non med solutions
