Losing my voice
I hope someone can help. I have been taking Sinemet for 5 years and the side effects have been difficult to deal with but the latest one is unbearable. And I know no one with this problem. It stops me talking. I either can't talk at all as it feels like my throat is swollen and someone is standing on

Starting Sinemet today. My mummy has been diagnosed with suspected PSP last month. Any support out there? Would be much appreciated. First dose and mum has already mentioned the dizziness and sleepiness.

Is this leg pain parkinson's? Or something else!
two days ago my legs began to hurt and ache right out of the blue. no incident, just pain. It is primarily the front of each thigh. one day both legs (thigh) hurt. the other day, just one leg. I have been crying out in terrible pain these last 4 days. I don't know if this is parkinson related orsomething

Stress
I'm talking only B1 from March and helps a lot, including the tremor. Still, when under stress, the symptoms get amplified. I want to know from people who take carbidova / levodoba or Sinemet if that medication controls symptoms when under stress? With other words I want to know if Sinemet helps to

Adding Lexapro to Sinemet for my Parkinson's
Hi folks, I'm willason, I'm new here as of 10/9/18, and this is my first post. I'm a male in my 50s. I joined to have a sounding board of other Parkinson's patients as I deal with managing my own PD, which was diagnosed in June of 2016. I really don't have anyone that I can talk to about these issues

Raynaud’s Disease and Keto Diet update
I’ve been experimenting with deliberately challenging myself with low temperatures . This morning I walked 10 minutes to the local shop for some eggs, wearing short sleeves and no hat (and no hair!) in 11C. The walk back was COLD as I got soaked by steady rain with a temperature of probably 5C or less

Counteracting PD tremor
Tremor at bedtime, when the Sinemet wears off, has become a significant problem for me in recent weeks. Not only does it keep me awake for hours at a time but it disrupts my wifes' sleep and she is my main carer. My Parkinson's nurse has suggested I try Procyclidine to counteract the tremor. Does

Dr. Costantini, B1 and Sinemet
I've been following the many posts about Dr. Costantini's high dose vitamin B1-thiamine protocol, and came across this comment in another post: "I have sent dr c video's- dr c has told me i must start sinemet 25/100 along with B1 because they work synerggistically." This seems to suggest that in order

Increasing Levodopa too quickly?
Posting here as it's so hard to talk to my mums' neurologist. Mum (96) is on Levodopa 125 three times a day and 125 half Sinemet at night. I believe she has been undermedicated for absolutely ages and has terrible drops every day. Neurologist has just given a prescription for 62mg to be added to her

I am looking for guidance how to take sinemet.
Hello, I take Sinemet every 2.5 hours, and during the night when tremor wakes me I take Sinemet and 1 sinemet ER (usually 2-3 times per night). Is it critical that I take my medication every day at the same time? (So need to put an alarm for night and alarm for the morning). Or it is good enough to

Keto diet fixing Raynaud’s?
When I was young I never felt the cold, but for about 30 years I’ve suffered badly with Raynaud’s a.k.a. White Finger - it even forced me to quit snow-boarding. I’ve now been on a Keto Diet and in ketosis for over 3 months (and off all Ropinirole and Sinemet for 2 months) and I’ve gradually noticed

Berberine and Sinemet.
Hi I've been reading a lot of good articles about berberine being possibly good in fight against PD. For example: http://blogs.sciencemag.org/pipeline/archives/2017/08/08/a-new-parkinsons-therapy-possibly My concern is if it is safe to take with Sinemet? Is anyone taking both?
