Simponi

I’ve had two infusions and my RA is much better. The draw backs are my mouth mucosal is raw and dry. Eating only soft foods and lidocaine mouthwash to help. My eye dryness is good on some days. Still using prescription drops. I’m still loosing hair. All this with no pain is a Catch 22. Still fatigue

Could it be the simponi causing it? Is it an additional auto-immune symptom? If you've had anything similar it would be good to hear I'm not the only one in this situation!

Hi I take Simponi 100mg injection every 4 weeks, this is my second biologic as I was previously on Humira but it stopped working (I have AS). I constantly get eye infections and bacterial skin infections and currently have an access on my arm that is extremely painful.

I was taken off of simponi a couple of months ago and have just been put onto apremilast. I am struggling so much with the side effects that I have stopped it. Sickness, diarrhoea, lack of appetite, joint pain and finally low mood.Has anyone else got experience of this drug please?

My questions are has anyone used them and are they ok and anyone on Simponi gone to weekly injections as I’m finding 4 weekly too far apart and pain breaks through earlier and earlier.

I’ve had Etanercept, Simponi, Baracitinib and now Tocilizumab. Each time having to turn a blind eye to the potential consequences of them. I don’t know how to carry on with it all today. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so hopeless.

Simponi and Baracitinib didn’t help and I’m worrying Toci might not either as I’m feeling at the moment. Thanks for listening.

Has anyone received these infusions? Please state both good and bad if you have.

RA,prednisone, methotrexate, Simponi Aria & muscle spasms. Awaiting a hip replacement. Has anyone had one during this time of their life?

Had a lot of steroids before starting Simponi which only seemed to work for 2mths before I’ve fallen off a cliff again with CRP over 50 & ESR nearly 80. If it wasn’t for my family, I think I’d give up. I’m trying to make a choice between Baracitinib and Tocilizumab now?

I also had a shot of Simponi that I had a very bad reaction to. Iwas so sick, had the shivers and a fever in the middle of the night. I as so sick, when t to Emergency room they did tests and everything was ok so they know it was from Simponi. The first week was terrible.

Im going into simponi for UC- Anyone has experience simponi before_ I was going into Cimzia but Im doing simponi instead

My main question to any Simponi users out there today is; Do you suffer regular headaches, and think they are related to your injections?

I'm 43 with Ankylosing Spondylitis (diagnosed in my twenties), which luckily has been treated for 5ish years with Simponi (just a wee bit of symptom break through at week 4 from injection).

I tried Simponi for 6 months which did not help much. With baricitinib, I had no side effects, but not much pain relief, although being off it for 2 weeks before starting the Rinvoq let me see how much worse the pain could get. Anyone out there on this medication? How are you doing?

After 6 months of pain and fatigue with Simponi which was not working, I put a lot of hope in this new medication. Previous to the Simponi, I had no meds other than ibuprofen for a month, and previous to that, 3 months on Xeljanz, which I quit when I could no longer stand the side effects.

I have high hopes that it will be better for me than the Simponi has been for the past 6 months. If I can do a bit of housework and gardening and shopping, that would be great, but getting dressed in the morning with no crying would be a start. My hopes are up.
