Inflammation.
Since my
sigmoidoscopy
three weeks ago Ive been getting tenderness and pain around the left rib area. My
sigmoidoscopy
showed that the thickness the CT identified was nothing. 👍🏻 I went to my Gp about these pains. He prescribed gaviscon and some other tablets.

Does anyone know of a good pain consultant, in or reasonably near the East Berks/South Bucks borders? - If so, please pm me with details.
I was referred to a local colorectal surgeon on the NHS, but I had a terrible first consultation with him - which included him performing a flexi
sigmoidoscopy
on me without my consent and without me having an enema first (which meant that my rectum and sigmoid colon couldn't be viewed properly because

Hi - IBS Newbie here
I have previously had blood tests and a
sigmoidoscopy
, which both came back clear (thankfully). I have basically had very low level stomach ache for the last few months, which has become more noticeable in the last week (24 hours a day stomach ache at various levels).

Is is possible to inspect inside a rectocele with a flexi sigmoidoscope?
And he also didn't tell me that he was going to do a flexi
sigmoidoscopy
; he just examined me with a lubed, gloved finger and before I knew it he was examining me with a flexi sigmoidoscope!...

Do I pay attention to rT3 ratio being significant?
(At a recent
sigmoidoscopy
screen I was told I have diverticula). In the last 6 months however, I have been feeling particularly yuk: low mood, itchy scalp, thinning/loosing hair, dry, flaky skin, hot night sweats but cold feet, poor sleep, joint pains, bloodshot (left) eye, jumpy heart beats etc.

Happy Easter. Up yours cancer.
Since I had my
sigmoidoscopy
last Monday, I’ve been getting sharp pains in my ribs. Left side. I’m sure my tummy is bigger too. I can’t really think this demon of a disease can come back so quickly. Anyway I’m going out for drinks with friends this afternoon. A few cocktails will dull the pain.

Long wait for surgery
Now await
sigmoidoscopy
(12 week wait), MDT review and plan for surgery which could take around further 6 months. All the while pain and bleeding unbearable and concerns me that surgery will likely be a year from my original consulantion. Surely this isn’t right?

That hurt.
I had a
sigmoidoscopy
yesterday. After drinking two litres of frogspawn and snot smoothie and going to the toilet 16 times, I arrived at hospital for the procedure. Wish I’d had a sedative as offered. I really needed the gas and air though. Good news though, the thickening wasn’t there.

Anyone had Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) ?
Subsequent colonoscopy, rectal MRI, and
sigmoidoscopy
revealed a 4 inch lesion in rectum that is radiation proctitis or radionecrosis. Cannot be cut out as it would not heal. Surgeon recommended HBOT which is indicated to enhance potential healing and improve quality of life.

Pain in the morning?
It also makes me feel really sick and I feel like I need to go to the loo at least 1 way to relieve it although I have had no urine infection and my bowel is fine as I've had a clear
sigmoidoscopy
.

Endo on the bowel
Finally I'm getting an ultra sound biopsy for celiac and a
sigmoidoscopy
for crohns but I was wondering for people with endo that penetrated the bowel did it show up on a
sigmoidoscopy
or did you need a colonoscopy? Thought I could kill two birds with one stone 😂

Endo and bowel bleeding
My
sigmoidoscopy
and mri were fine but these symptoms are new for the last few months and wondered if it was still possible it could be connected to my endo returning? Thanks Faye

Update
Finally I'm getting a stool test for crohns an ultra sound biopsy for celiac and a
sigmoidoscopy
for crohns 😮 I'm happy but petrified of the bowel prep because all I've heard is negative things and I have a huge phobia of sick 🤦🏼♀️

Gluten challenge
Finally I'm getting a stool test for crohns an ultra sound biopsy for celiac and a
sigmoidoscopy
for crohns 😮 I'm happy but petrified of eating gluten again because I might of lost 6lbs just by eating a tiny bit of gluten and the doctor gave me no advice on how to do it safely any tips? 😮

I don't know what to do anymore.
I've had one ultrasound scan of my liver,
sigmoidoscopy
(bleeding for over a year) a bunch of blood tests and urine tests and about 5 ECG tests (one 3 months ago-i wasn't concerned about my heart then and 4 this month all at a&e), h.pylori came back negative. I don't know what's causing this.

Never ending Bloat
Waiting for results of stool test but had Flexable
Sigmoidoscopy
last year and all clear. GP is becoming unsympathetic- just says accept its IBS and gave me Colpermin peppermint caps last week. I'm now thinking Candida? Anyone got this? Also has anyone tried Symprove?

Newbie... diagnosed with CFS in 2015, seen lots of ‘ologists... but think it’s thyroid related. Help!
Nothing showed up after
sigmoidoscopy
, so have just been back to doc about constipation /continued fatigue/ shaky before eating etc. Tested TSH and came back ‘normal’ at 4.2. Glucose level 4.7 ‘normal’. I do now take b12, multi vits with vit d3 etc. Magnesium.

I have been back to the doc, bloods were fine, 1 urine sample came back with raised white blood cells but rest were fine, ultrasound showed bowel wall thickening but
sigmoidoscopy
was fine, 1 biopsy showed inflammatory markers but rest were fine so they said it wasn't conclusive to a kidney problem nor
