Symptoms with normal blood tests?
In an attempt to find out what was causing my health abnormalities, I had my thyroid checked quite some time ago. And everything looked okay to be honest. I do not have the results at present, however, the TSH was 3.3 and the T4 was at the very top of the range. I had this tested a couple of times and

success with Threearrows - for anyone struggling with LOW IRON/FERRITIN
After 6 months I am finally seeing some progress with my iron panel! I spent 3 months on 4 ferrous gluconate tablets a day and my ferritin, saturation and iron barely budged. In fact, my serum iron actually decreased. I felt completely miserable with the prospect that I wouldn’t be able to optimise

Failed first FET - how to improve egg count for next cycle?
Hello lovelies 🌷today was my btd with my one and only frozen medium quality embryo and unfortunately I’m not pregnant (thanks progesterone for giving me all the false hope during the 2ww). I now need to start from the beginning with hormones and potentially produce my eggs it’s so mentally draining.

Private GP recommendation
Looking to try NDT (currently metavive) and have found a private GP from the thyroid UK list who is near to where I live. He is Dr David Eccleston, Sutton Coldfield West mids. I hope this is ok to name him? If anyone has experience of this GP could you PM please? Thanks all

Positive experience with Private GP
Hi all - for the benefit of anyone else dithering over trying a private GP... I've just had a really positive experience. She confirmed I have Hashi's (which has got a little worse/more antibodies since my previous bloods 6 months ago), we discussed treatments and she is prescribing a trial of NDT.

Update #3 Self-Treating
Following on from my previous update, (https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/149204484/2-update-adrenal-testing) I have another update. Unfortunately, endo has turned out to be pretty useless. After asking for my bloods a few times I got a fairly shirty response stating he was very busy and would

Increasing NDT dose
I’m in deed of advice once more. I was advised by Endo to increase my dose of NDT from 75 mg Efra but after several attempts, I failed. I was taking 75 mg + 25 mcg Synthroid every morning. Not feelingg100% but functioning. He suggested I take 60 mg +25 mcg Synthroid in the morning and another 30 mg

Going round in circles - Your input please
Hi - to cut a long story short. Do you think I need NDT? Am really keen to try the natural option as my T3 seems borderline but Naturopath didn't think it was necessary? I haven't felt 100% - am currently on 100mcg/daily Levo. Blood test - 17.02.23 T4 7.0 ug/dL (5.5-11) FT4 1.10

**Sensitive** How long are you meant to continue estrogen and progesterone for after an FET?
My clinic has advised that i should stop estrogen at 8 weeks. Am worried this is too early. Would be greatful for any insight in what others have done in the past? Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Out of date meds
I have a whole box of tirosint and armour NDT that is all going to go out of date march 30th. I still have a whole two months left. Anyone know if this will still be ok? Really do not want to Chuck considering how much it cost.

Please help with reading blood test results
I really don't know where to start with all this as it is a bit confusing and complex. 20 years ago i was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and i was prescribed Levothyroxine and my health rapidly declined. I spent 6 years housebound as i was so poorly and despite may trips to the GP and numerous tests i

Pharmacy and supplying brand name Levothyroxine
Are there Pharmacy's that are better about supplying consistent brands? I asked the private pharmacy closest to me and was told no you get what we have, no need to know brand. I do better with same brand in US - treated for 15 years. But my brand not available in UK at all, so need to change. I use Tirosint

Stopping medication
Hi everyone, I am really desperate with what to do next as nothing works for me. I was finally getting NDT and had so much expectation from it. I was fine for few days and then my stomach started to hurt that bad that I couldn't bed down. I email my specialist and ask what to do . He said to stop and

NDT blood test timing
Good morning all My understanding is when on NDT you should test 12 hours after your dose. Is that correct? If so at that point is the blood test more realistic as an indication of how well you are doing? I ask this because at my last one I was only a third way through the range of T3.

proving hypothyroidism
is this enough to prove hypothyroidism to nhs like a GP? My t4 was 16.9 with no treatment a few years ago but I was still having hypothyroid symptoms so started on NDT. It’s got worse in last year and a half and this are my recent results whilst on 160 of NDT- if I wasn’t on it, my t4 would be too low

blood test timings
just a quickie. As I’m on NDT I believe my blood test needs to be 12 hours after my dose. If the blood test came back a third through the range was I right to increase? I did this test on a non training day for worst case scenario.

*Senditive* Progesterone levels after OTD
Dirs anyone have their progesterone checked whilst waiting for viability scan as it's there a level your clinics still like you to be at/over? Mine is fluctuating between 50-75 and even with extra meds i can't seem to get it higher... My clinic prefers it over 100 but i'm already on injections, oral

Blood test results in advance of endo appointment + what are the MHRA guidelines for NDT?
Thank you SO SO much everyone who responded to my post last week about NDT absorption and how I should approach my endo to ask for NDT rather than synthetic T4/T3 therapy. Your responses have made the world of difference. I have my blood test results taken last Friday ready for endo this Thursday (
