Advice in reducing meds
Hi there, hope everyone is well. Just looking for some advice. Since being diagnosed earlier this year, I've tried a number of different medications, eventually after starting on Singulair, I have control and only need ventolin once or twice a week which is much better than the 2-3 times a day. So

FAO The Weight Loss Gang a Quick Query
Without reading all 287 posts, I take it it's quite difficult to shed weight with the drugs you're taking? Can anyone enlighten me which are the worst? As I have been trying for a little while now but it's not shifting, I'm on accuhaler Seretide 250 and salbutamol. Either that or I'm not trying hard

Seretide copy
Hi, I am currently prescribed Seretide. I recently heard that a cheap copy of Seretide will be available in the UK soon. I have had bad experiences before where I was given a cheap salbutmatol by my pharmacist. I am worried that the same will happen with Seretide. Does anyone know anything about Seretide

Seretide - Does the shakiness get better?
The info sheet with Seretide (I'm on 125, 2 puffs twice daily) says that shaky feelings will ""get less as treatment continues."" Does this really happen? And how long are we talking about? I've been taking it for almost two weeks. I had some cramping in the first few days, but that seems to have stopped

Hospital Consultants
Hi all just wondered if anyone had requested a different hospital than the one allocated? I'm currently being seen by the respiratory team at St Mary's Hospital on the Isle of Wight. The only problem is they keep canceling my appointments and moving them back. I'm now not due to see the consultant until

What comes next for little ones?
I am feeling very anxious right now. My 4 year old daughter had a bronchial lavage and a bronchoscopy this past week. This is her second one. According to our consultant's at Addenbrookes and Prof Bush from the RBH, she is on the maximum doses of all of her medications and she is nowhere near under control

AeroChamber
How does one tell if the AeroChamber isn't working and needs replaced. For some time now, when I take my seretide 250 via AeroChamber, there is still a lot of powder left in the mouthpiece of inhaler case. Looks like it's not even reaching the spacer. Is it me, not doing a hard enough sook, though

My peak flow is extremely low!
I am 5 foot 8 inches tall & 20 years old so my peak flow should be 434 according to the EU scale based on my age & height. This got me wondering so I worked out how my lungs are functioning. I worked out 1% of 434 & then worked out what was the peak flow for in my zones: a) Peak flow for red zone (Below

Constant productive cough and voice problems
I'm new to this site and am looking for some information from people more used, if that'sthe right word, to asthma. I'm 64 and had asthma as a child, which resolved in my teens. I've always been a bit 'allergic' - nettle rash etc and I have perennial rhinitis. I think I picked up a viral infection in
