Symbicort
I have been prescribed Symbicort to replace my Seretide, Qvar and Salbutamol. However, I have just read the information leaflet and it mentions that the powder does not have a taste I was just wondering if anyone else is on this inhaler. How do I know if I have taken my dose or not?

hi, my son (now 7) has been moved from clenil to seretide as asthma nurse said he is a brittle asthmatic. 90% of the time he has a major cough and can go from controlled to not as quick as a light switch being turned on/off. at the moment everything is under control (yay!!!), he's on seretide, ventolin

The shakes
Over the last couple of months I have had the shakes, even when I look in the mirror I can see my face shaking and my hands are so bad I can hardly write. I mentioned this to my Resp nurse and she asked if I was overdoing my inhalers which I am not. I am on Spriva Respimat, Bricanyl and Seretide with

Support is so appreciated
Thanks to everyone. Gained valuable info re various drugs in use. Went to GP yesterday and as a result changed from seretide which made me cough to salmeterol. I will let you know if it has made a difference.

Sybicort versus Seretide
I recently saw a locum specialist (my usual pulmo was away). I told him that I felt that Symbicort was of limited effect after taking it for some 6-7 years of varying strengths - currently 400/12 (I also take Spiriva). He suggested I try Seretide 250 and gave me a sample. I tied it today as my morning

I am having frequent chest infections. Diagnose with bronchiectasis and asthma.
I am getting very fed up with these chest infections. They happen very suddenly, even when I am away.' They are getting more frequent. My husband is receiving treatment for prostrate cancer and may to have chemo. So we dont need this problem. I have decided to have an appointment with my respiratory

Did your health deteriarate all at once?
I was diagnosed with COPD about 5 years ago. I've been on the usual various medications over the years but managed to keep working doing medium/heavy manual work including snow shifting on the shovel until last winter when I really struggled. My health and ability to do strenuous work seemed to deteriorate

Should I go to the doctor?
Hi Thomas has been using his blue inhaler every day for over a week now to relieve the cough. We are using 4-6 puffs of ventolin each time and that seems to stop the coughing for a couple of hours. I am just wondering if I should be getting him checked over as we don't usually have to use the blue inhaler

My tongue!!!
Hi everyone I need a bit of advice, not sure if i need to bother the doc with this or not... .....my tongue feels odd, like i've smoked 40 fags (i haven't!) and a bit sore/tingley. I'm only on Seretide 250 (4 puffs a day) and ventilin (rarely). I thought it was the antibiotics (co-amoxiclav) but

Hi, new to the forums, so hello everyone. I am taking Seretide 250 and have been since 2010 has anyone else had problems with joint pain or arthralgia? I had a nasty bout of flu in September 2010 and my gp changed me over to seretide as becotide was not as effective. In December of 2010 I began to
