Seretide makes my cough worse…I think!
Hello Pattern forming here but the GP won't take any notice. I stopped taking Seretide for over a year and felt absolutley fine. I then caught a cold which went to my chest and so I am prescribed antibiotics which help and then I am told to go back on the Seretide. This helps for two weeks and then

First hospital admission - worried
Hi Everyone I've been asthmatic for over 18 years (I'm now approaching 40!) Between December 2013 and August 2014 I needed four courses of Pred and antibiotics. But from August 2014 I've had good consultant care and an excellent home action plan. Usual medications are; Seretide 250 2 puffs twice

Frustrated
Hi there I had a recent exacerbation, which resulted in two courses of prednisilone. While things are improving, I'm far from back to normal. I also take seretide. For a couple of months I've been having four puffs twice a day of 125, Tried to get appointment with my usual gp who knows me and my asthma

So frustrating
I've asthma for many years. By and large it used to be very well controlled. Since before Christmas it's been one episode after another. Struggled over Christmas. Saw gp increased long term preventer. Now I'm on my second round of prednisilone. Double dose seretide and still a fair bit of ventolin.

Synacthen test shows cortisol/adrenal deficiency
]Hi, our son is 12 and has always had quite bad asthma - we've just been to see a new consultant today as his medication was upped to Seretide 250 2 puffs twice a day along with his montelukast 5mg about 6 months ago. He had also had a synacthen test which showed his adrenal gland now isn't functioning

stepping down ....yeah!
Hello everyone, haven't been on here for some time now, lots going on and no time for myself! Anyway, since my last bad chest infection in April time, where the gp was contemplating long term steroids, my asthma has been brilliant. I've only had symptoms 3-4 times and therefore barely used my ventolin

inhalers
A couple of months ago I saw my GP with the sole purpose of finding out if she could change my inhalers as I felt I wasn't getting any benefit from my present ones. I approached the GP as my COPD nurse and myself just do not see eye to eye. GP admitted she didn't have enough knowledge about them so would

Started Seretide 3 days ago - benefits already?
For the last 6-7 weeks i've been trialling being on Fostair and it didn't improve my asthma at all, in fact at the beginning it got worse!!!! Last thursday i saw the nurse for a review and i told her that the Fostair made no difference so she changed me onto Seretide. That was literally 3 days ago
