Seretide 250 Evohaler effectiveness.
I find that the effectiveness of Seretide Evohalers reduce during the 124 dose capacity. That is, if I use all 124 doses and then change to a new one, there is a substantial improvement in effectiveness which should not happen with metered doses. My GP even says that it DOES NOT happen!! Can anyone

Seretide - not always any use?
Anyone else wonder sometimes if Seretide contains NO active ingredient? Once again I have spent three weeks with seriously runny nose on a new capsule and then switched Seretide early - and lo, the mucus reduces. Am I right? Am I wrong?

Seretide - aching hands. If side effect - reduce dosage or change inhaler?
Hi, I've had aching hands/arms for a few months now, wonder if it could be side effect for seretide -I've been on 1000 micrograms a day for a few years If it is a side effect , will it help to reduce dosage ( don't want to do it without consultant and I will see him in a few months time) or I will have

Home, but it's hard..
After 11 days in the hospital, with 2 life-threatening attacks and an allergic reaction in that time, I was discharged yesterday. I'm glad to be home, of course I am..but things really aren't as good as they should be. In the hospital, once I was out of Resus, I was on 4-hourly Ventolin nebs, and 6-

Back on Seretide :D
Hi all :) I guess it's the little things, sometimes. I was hospitalised just over a week ago with a life-threatening asthma attack after 4 weeks of being on Fostair 100/6 and not having proper control. I should only have been taking a maximum of 2 puffs twice a day but I had to increase it to 3 puffs

I think I shold change my GP?
I had bronchitis in August and aggravated asthma and after the first course of antibiotics was sent for xray and blood tests and given a second course. Was told at the hospital it would be ten days for results. Inbetween time my condition worserned resulting in a trip to A&E. The staff there were excellent

Confused about action plan
I've recently been given an asthma action plan, which when the gp gave it to me, made sense, but now I'm unsure. So it says: if use reliever more than 4 times a week, symptoms return or peak flow goes below 450 (best 570), to increase seretide to 4 puffs twice a day and ventolin up to 2 puffs every 4

Seretide side effects
I recently saw a post about someone suffering side effects from seretide and I had one of those lightbulb moments. I consulted Google re side effects and a few things dropped into place. My poorly controlled asthma/?COPD necessitated my seretide 125 being increased to seretide 250 with 2 puffs both morning

COPD Going Backwards ?
I was diagnosed with COPD around 2012. The diagnosis was moderate, but I think that perhaps it was at the bad end of moderate. I had at least one flare up due to a chest infection which saw me hospitalized for a short period. I was in a right state before going into Hospital. The infection saw me waking

Being stepped up.
So went for a review with my asthma nurse today as she wanted to review my peak flow. She doesn't think things have improved much - although I thought they had - but she knows best (but I had had a chest infection this last week and a half so not the best representation over the last three weeks). Seretide side effects - painful joints?
Hi, Has anybody got stiff ( usually in the middle of the night and when wake up) hands and painful arms/shoulders as a seretide side effect? Have had this for 4 months already, went to GP - he suggested to take ibuprofen but I don't think it ( and everything that contains aspirin) is advisable for

It is not rocket science...
A few folk have asked me what my own healthy living programme to manage COPD is like...so here goes-it works for me, though I appreciate it may not work for everyone. A typical week will include A reasonable amount of exercise, inc. daily 2-3 PR exercises, different ones each day, walking 20-60 minutes

Please help
So I've finally got a referral to see a specialist. I was in a&e 10 days ago with a mild attack which I'm now not even sure was an attack. Woke in the night with thick clear mucus that is clogging my throat and chest. Nebs are the only thing that seem to help but everyone reminds me the evidence says

Itraconazole and sleeping/not sleeping
Hello All, Since starting Itraconazole about a month ago seem to be sleeping less and less. Most mornings up before 6 (yet a few weeks ago when spacing 4 doses of antibiotics meant taking the first at 6am was setting two alarms). Yesterday up at 3 no naps full day too. Asleep at 11pm up at 1.30 and
