Denied my repeat prescription of flixotide

The pharmacist took it upon himself to contact my dr and refuse my flixotide prescription as I'm taking seretide as well. My specialist prescribed it 18 months ago so it's not a new thing. I've now got to see the practice pharmacist on Thursday and there's no guarantee I'll be able to get it again. Fuming.

I've had similar issues. On Seretide 250 but add in Flixotide 250 when PF drops.

Have had it queried several times by other GP's and in pharmacy. Now just tell them it's part of my self management plan and it's all sorted.

Sure you will get it sorted soon; had to speak to the practice manager to get mine sorted at GP's and also sent them a copy of the management plan for their records

Finally got it sorted thankfully, it's all on my last letter from my specialist. What a faff!

Sadly it appears some centre managers are ablivious to the needs of their patients and think they know best. Sadly not always the case. MAny times these things take so long to sort themselves out, causing stress along the way.

Beats me why they would think we are happy to be having to take so much medication to keep us well and to be able to breathe. 😀
