I'm new here. I have chronic asthma and have been successfully managing my asthma with Ventolin / Seretide for years, or so I thought. Seretide 'step-down'
Has anyone else been advised to change from Seretide to another med? Although this is the only med that has been effective for me, at my last review I was told it's going to be changed soon. They have already stepped me down from a 250 evohaler to 125 causing me to need my Ventolin daily again. Any similar

Asthma with possible acid reflux sinus problems and allergies
Hi im for past 8 months i have been suffering with breathlessness and tight chest which at times is accompanied by an ache in my chest and extreme tiredness as a result of which i have had to give up exercise (walking 3-6 miles daily) as it exacerbates my symptoms even if I take ventolin prior to exercise

Side effects and inhalers.
Having problems with airflusal. I was changed to this from seretide. Doc. Said it was the same only different brand. But. I didn't have the burning sensation or increased heart rate. And then fast uncomfortable breathing on seretide. Anybody else had this. Please.

Airflusal adverse reaction
Has any body had had problems with airflusal. I was on seretide before with no problems. I don't know whether it's the airflusal it self or the fact it's 500 and just too strong. It makes my lungs feel like they are burning and then I get really shakeup and breathless for ages. Doc. Is reluctant to

Has anyone had side effects soon after starting Fostair? I’ve had oral thrush, joint pain, and flu like symptoms and a very dry mouth!
Has anyone had problems with FOSTAIR? In hospital 10 days with asthma/chest infection and SERETIDE was replaced by FOSTAIR. Had oral thrush, have VERY DRY mouth, joints aching, and flu like symptoms which I didn’t experience on SERETIDE! Many thanks for your help.

Fostair swilling
I am new to fostair and am hoping for a improvement from sybmbicort after a short try on seretide that didn't work for me. I have only been on it for 3 days now and also I don't want to get thrush so am swilling with mouth wash as I take my medication roughly the same time as daily hygiene. I don't know

How do I know if I really have asthma...
My GP diagnosed me with Asthma 6 years ago after 3 chest infections. Currently I’m on sertetide, my question is how do I know for sure that I have asthma? I don’t wheeze nor have I ever done so. If it a very windy day I feel that breathing isn’t as easy as it should be, ventolin makes no difference at

I'm new, having flare up, any ideas?
Hi everyone, new here. I’ve had asthma all my life but it has been extremely well controlled for most of my life, allowing me to do some pretty intense cycling events etc and not need my blue inhaler at all. I’m 28 now and am in the middle of what seems to be a flare up of sorts. It started about

Fostair versus Seretide?
I have, over the last 8 weeks, been struggling, like so many on here with a major exacerbation. The GP's have been valliant in their attempts to control it 2 changes of inhalers(to flutiform and symbicort) neither of which worked 2 courses of steriods one I am just tapering (down to 1mg) from now. Added

Shortness of breath and chest tightness.
I'm really glad I stumbled on this page as most people seem to think that these symptoms I'm having are in my head or a spiritual problem. I've been having shortness of breath and chest tightness for the past 4 months, at first it was scary, I thought it was my heart having issues, but after seeing

Asthma set off by lots of things..... dogs, caught a cold, standing of cold train station..... GP changed me from seretide to sereflo ... all at the same time. Had 2 weeks on steroids and chlarythromycin..... now chest X-ray and high dose of co-amoziclav and the nausea is horrendous and also vomiting

When will this end?
Firstly, let me wish you all a very Happy New Year and I hope everyone has an enjoyable time tonight. Not sure where to start with my continuing asthma story. I have been having an exacerbation for the last 7 weeks due to a viral cough caught from my DH. He still has a cough after nearly 9 weeks but
