Coronavirus vaccine: reasons to be optimistic.
SARS
-CoV-2, the recently discovered coronavirus that causes COVID-19, is similar enough to other coronaviruses, so scientists make predictions about how our immune system might deal with it. But its novelty warrants its own careful study.

Coronavirus May Be a Blood Vessel Disease, Which Explains EverythingMany of the infection’s bizarre symptoms have one thing in common
The additional protein the original
SARS
virus requires is only present in lung tissue, but the protein for
SARS
-CoV-2 to activate is present in all cells, especially endothelial cells.

A new approach to averting inflammation caused by COVID-19
University of Minnesota Twin Cities student Molly Gilligan recently published an article in the journal Cancer & Metastasis Reviews that studied the human body’s robust inflammatory response to the
SARS
-CoV-2 virus, which is now recognized as a hallmark symptom.

How the coronavirus could be prevented from invading a host cell.
Such protease inhibition would prevent
SARS
-CoV2, the coronavirus responsible for COVID-19, from invading the host cell. The research is featured as the cover story of the journal (Volume 25, Issue 10). https://news.ucr.edu/articles/2020/05/29/how-coronavirus-could-be-prevented-invading-host-cell

Covid-19 and acute kidney injury in hospital: summary of NICE guidelines.
Acute kidney injury (AKI), a sudden reduction in kidney function, is seen in some people with covid-19 infection. A subset of patients develop severe AKI and require renal replacement therapy (RRT). As in many settings, the development of AKI is associated with an increased risk of mortality. Although

Ethical guidelines for COVID-19 tracing apps.
Technologies to rapidly alert people when they have been in contact with someone carrying the coronavirus
SARS
-CoV-2 are part of a strategy to bring the pandemic under control. Currently, at least 47 contact-tracing apps are available globally (see go.nature.com/2zc1qhk).

Cold plasma against the coronavirus.
Preliminary tests carried out by terraplasma medical GmbH, the subsidiary of the Max Planck spin-off terraplasma, suggest that cold atmospheric plasma (i.e. weakly ionised air) can render
Sars
-CoV-2 harmless in cell cultures.

Hmmmm.... Unsure about recent consultation. Feeling rubbish 🤔😥
I was seen in the emergency gynae clinic last week for multiple gynae issues but scan normal. Phew !! This really is all I went for but the doctor I saw really upset me. After giving me the good news about my scan, she then followed with (very abruptly) 'do you want more children?' I said yes as this

Anyone's uterus adhered to abdominal wall?
I've been told that on a few occasions by consultants and that it showed on ultrasound. When I have complained to doctors of this lump on the left of my C-section scar they have said that its just my uterus stuck. However i am not entirely convinced. Because its way too low and right at the front.
