Rythmol, Post Ablation Monitor, Bigeminy
The EP has recommended
Rythmol
and perhaps another ablation if I don't tolerate the meds. I don't know what to do. I'll try the
Rythmol
, but meds have not been easy on me.

Rythmol/Propafenone
Has anyone been prescribed this antiarrhythmic? Due to the flecainide not working for me, my doctor wants me to go on this drug. I’m really hesitant to try another drug because of the Flecainide not working. Just wondering if anyone has ever tried this medication and if so, did it work?

No more propafenone!!!! What???
Have achieved excellent control with propafenone (
Rythmol
). My pharmacy informed me they cannot refill my prescription, as there is a supply side problem with propafenone.

No side effects except for the methylprednisone that has made my heartbeat irregular again so I had to take some propafenone/
Rythmol
to get it settled down. It made for a long 10 hour day. My husband spent the time at the beauty supply and Harbor Freight.

Propafenone/Rythmol and stopping heart beats
Against my better judgment, I agreed to try this new medicine for at least a week to see if it would stop or keep my afib at bay. I gave my word to my doc and hubby (who is also a doc) that I would give it a chance. Well day 2 had afib that lasted 24.5 hours. Keeping my word, I didnt give up and kept

Electrophysiology Test
I am on Xarelto 20mg for DVT and the
Rythmol
225 mg 3* daily is not working. Has anyone else experience this and can comment deeper on what and why this may be happening. Doc explained it but I felt so overwhelmed with all that info.

Rythmol
generic has worked the best. I had an ablation 18 months ago that did very little other than teach me that I am addicted, in a sense , to atenolol, though little about this came from doctors. I take atenolol 50 x2 and
rythmol
generic 225 x 2 per day.

2 months post ablation
I have been doing good since ablation except one week after I stopped
rythmol
I had an irregular pulse for about 30 minutes then epigastric pain after with some nausea. I did wean off the
rythmol
as Bob suggested.

Still on
rythmol
, metoprolol, and coumadin. I worry about coming off
rythmol
and metoprolol because I feel they have prevented PAF but will deal with it when the time comes. One day at a time. Thank you everyone for your support and advice. You are an amazing group❤️

Getting there
First I was on
Rythmol
, Metoprolol, potassium, magnesium and asprin. Then it went to meds and ablations. I did really well for eight years. Then in April I had an episode of VF. So that another (5) ablation and new medication, Sodalol. Neither took.

Air travel and AF ?
In three weeks ( long plane ride 😳), my EP suggested that I have my PiP and also gave me a full prescription of
Rythmol
to have handy and take 3x daily as I had prior to my ablation, of courses if necessary. Just wondering what others experiences have been while travel overseas?

Burning in tummy and chest
I'm on metoprolol and
Rythmol
( propafenone ) which I've been on for 3 years and never had a problem with it . Never had any issues with gluten or dairy before ??? I'm wondering if it's the healing process ?? I just feel horrible at times, maybe it's an ulcer due to the stress ??

Af struggle
I did have seven years when I it was controlled really well with
Rythmol
. That is until three months ago when I had a spell of vfib. A week later I had afib. A few weeks later I had a routine ablation to isolate the pulmonary arteries. Since then I had no energy and was very weak.

I am under care of a cardiologist for AFIB and have taken
Rythmol
for several years. I have been getting my INR checked once a month until recently. First my blood was way too thin a month ago and now it is too thick. My dosage of coumadin has changed twice.

Propafenone 325
One medication that I was asked to take was
Rythmol
or Propafenone. After the nuclear test my doctor felt my heart is in a good condition and my vagal AF is connected with my heartburn and mild hiatal hernia.

Propafenone (Rythmol) or Flecainide (Tambocor)
I started taking propafenone this past Tuesday (4 days ago) and it makes me very lightheaded and increases my breathing difficulty, I have copd, using Metoprolol and an inhaler. It also drains my energy. The EP nurse said I could stop the Propafenone and after a few days they would start me on Flecainide

My first visit to the EP
He said there were two options that he recommended. (1) Start on Propafenone (
RYTHMOL
) 150mg 3 times a day. He said it will not cure the AF but it might prevent it. He said if it does not or if the side effects are to bad we go to option number two.

Most vagal afibbers receive wrong medication
As far as propafenone (
Rythmol
) is concerned, the situation may not be as clear-cut as suggested in the Euro Heart Study. Some vagal afibbers have found this drug quite useful.
