Tired all the time
Lately I feel tired all the time, from when I wake up to when I go to bed in the evening, despite the fact that I sleep more than 8 hours per night. I take a lot of supplements (calcium, D3, folate, complex B, magnesium glycinate, heme iron),
the only value that was low was ferritin
but I do take

Nasal Sores with Mtx
I inject 15mg of Methotrexate weekly and take folic acid 6 times per week. Recently I keep getting nasal sores in both nostrils which are sore and painful. I researched that the cause is most likely Mtx. I have tried to ring advice line at my hospital but it is never open. Has anyone any suggestions

more blood results help
hi again, I’ve had further bloods taken after starting levothyroxine in July 2023. The doctor refused to do full bloods so only did TSH & vitamin D. They started me on 100mg of levothyroxine and I also took all the suggested supplements After 8 weeks I didn’t feel much better so increased to 150mg.

Bone profile?
Hi, could anyone tell me what the doctor means by bone profile? Recently had tests for B12 deficiency, got a telephone call a few days later asking me to come back in for them to do more tests. Said my bone profile was low, and mentioned something about potentially low vitamin d. Apparently my b12 is

Active b12 versus serum b12
My Medichecks active b12 is 63.1 (range is 37.5-188) but my serum b12 tested at my gp surgery shows top of range. Should I supplement? I also have hypothyroidism. Thank you

Serum b12 V Active b12
I’ve just received my active b12 result from Medichecks. It was 63.1 yet my recent serum b12 from my GP surgery was over the top of the range. Over the years I have always had top of range serum levels . Should I supplement with vitamin b12? Thank you

Medichecks results, please advise
Hi Everyone, posting my 1st ever private blood tests. Please can anyone comment, I'm quite new to this. The results came with a Dr's overview, so I'll be taking Vit D supplements but the other results appeared 'normal'. What do you think? And do the autoimmunity antibodies indicate Hashimoto's or am

injection type
Not sure if I’m allowed to ask this, apologies if not. Dr has agreed 6 loading doses then 3 monthly B12 injections which will be Hydroxocobalamin this injection is cyanocobalamin. Two questions has anyone used these injections, are they any good? Can you have hydroxo and then inject with cyano ?

cirrhosis and statins
I’ve not asked for help on here before and would really appreciate any advice. I have alcoholic cirrhosis and am being recommended statins for cholesterol by my practice nurse. I’m a 57 year old UK male. The information sheet from the nurse session warns not to take statins if you have cirrhosis. I’m

Last year I told him I was buying the vials from Germany and SI every month. Said I was fine with that but worried in case I can

Conquering MTX
So, I'm about to embark on a 2nd stint of mtx after a 9mth break. I'm going to take it by mouth again, likely 15mg + 10mg folic acid a day later, maybe slightly higher mtx initially to smash the current flare. Injections might be ultimate route, but before that I am very keen to hear any success stories

Customs duty on methylcobalamin
Hi. Can anyone tell me if there is now a duty to pay on b12/methyl etc.,? I've just received an order from Germany. I was expecting the 20% vat but not a large duty fee at Customs. Not really sure exactly what I'm looking for but I had a look on the Customs website and found a code for vitamin

Slippery Elm & Lansoprazol
I'm asking advice for my son. It's about timings etc re slippery elm, supplements and slippery elm. He's 40 and on Lazoprasole for almost 12 years for slight hiatus hernia. Each time he's not taken it, due to prescription mix up, he gets bad acid symptoms. At the moment he's having an acid flare up.

Fighting for corrections is so hard.
I am coming up on the one year of my wife's passing. On this day last year, she was sitting in her hospital bed eating frozen fruit. She was at 99% Sat with 1l of O2, and the plan was to turn it off in the morning. LFT's bang on Normal. Indirect Billi is still high, direct normal. Albumin low Plat low

Daughter’s results causing confusion - Hashimoto’s AND Graves??
Hi everyone, This post comes with a caveat. I’m sat looking through my daughter’s blood test results from the second part of last year. I’m doing this because she’s off college again with some sort of virus, this follows a week of Covid. I’m ashamed to say that I’m only looking at these results
