Anyone treated RLS with progesterone?
Hi, I wondered if anyone had had any success with treating RLS with hormones? My RLS got MUCH worse when I took HRT and I also had bad RLS during pregnancy so I'm wondering if it's my hormones? Has anyone been able to get a hormone test then improve symptoms with progesterone? I think my RLS gets worse

Ferritin concern
My Ferritin level is 126. I thought this was triggering my severe RLS since I had a total knee replacement in November , 2023. My RLS is off the rail . I want an Iron infusion, but the health group I belong to, does not believe I need this? I am traveling the next 2 months, will take Sinemet to use on

meds and sleep apnea
I have severe RLS and I have had 2 at home sleep studies done. I was taking methadone when I had the first one done and it said I had mild obstructive sleep apnea. The second at home sleep study was done just recently and during this test I was on gabapentin. This test also said I have mild obstructive

2 questions- Does buprenorphine give you insomnia?! Also what’s the best type to ask for?
one of my biggest problems is insomnia. Is rls and insomnia one in the same? which came first the rls or the insomnia? No idea. Sometimes I wake and then the legs start, sometimes the legs wake me up. so if I was given buprenorphine would I still have the insomnia/make it worse? Because that’s as

Medication in the UK
Hi, As per RLS posts I have finally got around to requesting a ferritin level check, full iron panel from my GP in the UK. I also have changed from ropinirole to pramipexole and because that change didn't work the GP has said to double the dose of pramipexole being taken, which I will do as desperate

Does hair loss eventually stop? 😔 I'm hoping someone can tell me something positive?
I'm getting new bloods next week & hopefully an increase to 75 (lactose free teva) on my way eventually to around 100 ish as I'm 63 kilos but I'm still losing my hair? Eyebrows have all but gone, eye lashes thining, red sore eye lids, dry eyes with occasional blurring (using drops) and very puffy underneath

Use of opioids for Ropinirole withdrawal
I am starting to reduce the amount of Ropinirole I take by small amounts. I note that a low dose opioid can help with the withdrawal symptoms. My withdrawal RLS symptoms start during the morning and I'm trying not to take any ropinirole until the evening, in order to help my sleep. Will taking a low

Has anyone considered or used legal prescription cannabis?
Hi All again, Sorry I keep asking for advice. I’ve been particularly dreadful last few afternoon/nights limbs all over the place, head nodding, grimacing coming off this pramipexole. It’s really made me think about being exactly like this before starting the pramipexole and that’s what life is going

Buprenorphine side effects- sertraline
I suffer from depression as a side effect from Buprenorphine and having tried pregabalin unsuccessfully (50mg/day) i asked my GP to prescribe trazodone. He was very reluctant and suggested sertraline. Has anyone used this and does it cause RLS symptoms? Thanks for any help on this Davchar23

coming off ropinirole after augmentation
I would like advice on how best to manage the sleepless nights as I try to wean myself off ropinirole which I’ve been taking in gradually increased amounts for about 6 years up to 3mg this year. I believe that I had the augmentation problem after a GP increased my dose over the max of 4 to 6 mg for

Change in Rx and RLS is drastically reduced
I am now off Trazodone, added Lithium and Seroquel and reduced Buspirone in half. I am no longer taking Ropinirole. I am also taking Lamotrigine. RLS symptoms are nearly gone. Does Trazodone cause RLS? And do my new meds help to reduce RLS symptoms? It’s like a miracle. I am bipolar2.

RLS Targinact & Pregabalin

Informing DVLA
Hi all. You've been super helpful before so wonder if you can help with another question. One for the UK based folk. Question about informing the DVLA of a TBI. Has anyone navigated this process please? I know I need to inform them and have looked at their form. I'm not currently well enough to drive

Dry eyes.
Does any one have immunosuppressant eye drops for dry eyes and if so do they work? I have had an uncomfortable eye for several years which I am assured is dry eyes. I get told always, it's dry eyes, put drops in. I have tried practically all over the counter drops, plus endless flavour of the month

Robaxin muscle relaxer possible trigger ?
I could use some advice. Iron infusion didn’t offer full coverage and my ferritin skyrocketed over 1,000 and has remained there. So that’s on hold. Vimpat/lacosamide worked well for a bit then got spotty. Methadone 5 mg at 10 pm and another 5 usually between 1 & 3 am was working well. So the doctor

suboxone podcast
I don’t know if it’s available everywhere, but The Atlantic magazine has a podcast called Radio Atlantic. They have a current series titled Scripts. The Aug 8 show is all about using buprenorphine (mainly suboxone) to treat Opioid addiction. Nothing new here, but it sheds a little light on why buprenorphine
