My Osteoporosis Journey
I have read conflicting advice about whether
retinol
or beta carotene is better, and have decided that natural sources (food, or maybe cod liver oil) are safer choices than taking a chance with the latest fad in supplements.

Acne during pregnancy....2nd Trimester...
Hi Guys, I have had acne since I was young and medicated it since I was a teenager. Obviously when I was TTC and now that I am pregnant I have come off anything Retin A related and potentially harmful. My skin was ok in the initial stages of pregnancy - but this week (16 weeks) I have started to get

Hypothyroidism and Acne
I have tried everything over the last few months (dairy free, no makeup, light treatment,
retinol
) and nothing has worked. All I can think of now is that it might be something to do with my thyroid levels and have read online that taking vitamin A might help.

Alcohol intolerance. Is alcohol dehydrogenase causing our continued issues even after b12 injections?
Further research into my vision issues/brain fog brought up links between alcohol dehydrogenase and
retinol
(viamin A).

Evolution of Nuclear Receptors and Ligand Signaling: Toward a Soft Key-Lock Model?
OK folks, so you thought you'd got your head around thyroid hormones. You really have done a lot of reading. You recognise all the abbreviations and technical terms. You think it all hangs together. Then someone throws in another idea - one that potentially adds another order of magnitude of complexity

Can Anxiety Cause a Hallucination?
A year and a half ago I bought some Retin A on line for a wrinkle on my forhead, used it maybe 6 times in 2 weeks and my skin was like a wet sponge. If I touched it, it indented and stayed and the skin peeled off my nose completely. I don't know if it was that or an ingrown hair on my arm, but I developed

I first suffered with cystic acne in my 20's and, after trying topical creams with
Retinol
A, oral contraceptives and antibiotics, I decided to self-refer myself to a Dermatologist and was prescribed Roaccutane.

This dehydration robs the vitamin A from the body, which in turn, causes emphysema (look at the studies done on
Retinol
to try and reverse the disease). By treating yourself for dehydration and maintaining that treatment, many sufferers will find relief. I was diagnosed 5 years ago.
