Nobody here can help with this raulcat. This is a discussion and peer support forum run by the British Lung Foundation, whose members have lung conditions and who seek to give and receive support via this site.
Hi roalcat and welcome to the board.
There are knowledgeable people on here, who can help you understand your results, when you post them.
As for the retinol thing, do you mean that Vitamin A trials?
I believe the retinoic acid you mention is an isolated constituent of Vitamin A, which has been shown to regenerate or repair damaged lung tissue in mice. I did look into this myself as at stage 4 with only 19% lung capacity left it looked worth exploring and found that you can buy retinoic acid on the internet however, with no knowledge of the authenticity of the suppliers nor any idea of recommended doses for humans, or even how and when to take it I did not explore any further. If there were medical trials of it being done in UK I would be one of the first to sign up as I have very little now left to lose but unfortunately it looks as if those are years away no doubt too late for me, but hope eventually they may prove beneficial to others. Hope that helps. By the way taking Vitamin A itself will not apparently confer the beneficial effects of the retinoic acid.
