Musings on stress relievers – I know what might help to alleviate stress, but why don’t I do them?
Spoiler alert: This post is REALLY long! Stress seems to be a biggie for most of us in this day and age. Part of the human condition in general it would appear (thanks cave dwelling ancestors!) and also more specifically when dealing with PMR/GCA. As PMRpro and others often mention, it is frequently

Questions for Endocrinologist
Today is the day, I am finally seeing an endocrinologist. Any suggestions of things to ask? Trying to be optimistic about the appointment but quietly cautious. Below are the questions I have so far: - FT3 measurement to ensure adequate conversion - Pregnancy monitoring and appropriate FT4 and TSH levels

Vitamin D and AF
This is from Chat GPT, what do you think? fact checked on google and other sites. Vitamin D has been studied extensively for its potential impact on heart health, particularly its relationship with atrial fibrillation (AF). The findings are somewhat mixed, but several key points emerge from recent

Post-private GP update
Evening. A few people asked me to post an update following on from my visit to a private GP today. Well, it certainly wasn’t what I’d expected, which is to say I hadn’t expected much to happen other than another another blood test being needed and possibly a plan of action. What actually happened

Exhausted still after B12 injection.
I was diagnosed a year ago with pernicious anemia. I find that literally half an hour after my injection I'm back to being exhausted again. I do also have RA so do get a lot of tiredness from that and the bucket load of medication I take. I did mention it to the nurse when I had my last injection

Back to life thanks to this forum! GP Next steps though - further levo increase?
You've been so helpful. Your collective knowledge has led to a diagnosis of (ords) hashimotos, my levo being upped to 75mg and I'm pain free for the first time in 5 YEARS! Thank you. I feel alive again. I armed myself with printed NICE guidelines and facts/ research and GP didn't resist this time and

Vertigo 3 months after starting the B12 treatment
Hi, I got vertigo today. It has been 3 months after I started treatment for B12 and D deficiency. I understand that people have mentioned about reversing symptoms but wanted to check if someone else has faced vertigo and completely recovered from it. Which medicine did you take for vertigo apart?

List of medications to avoid?
Hi all, hope we're all getting our natural Vitamin D on this sunny Sunday☀️? I understand there are some medications that can badly affect us B12 deficients - certain antibiotics for instance. Is there a definitive list available? I've searched this forum but can't find anything. I'd really like to

Help with T3
I would really appreciate some advice please. I have included my original post below. So last week I went to see another Endocrinologist, they confirmed what I was told by the first Endocrinologist who I saw earlier that week - basically as my TSH levels are within range, I did not need an increase
