VITAMIN A REPAIRING AVEOLI
Why is it that we read of success they've had with lab animals using retinoic acid (a derivative of vitamin A) in repairing alveoli and then they tell us NOT to eat carrots or drink carrot juice while they (researchers) conduct 35 more years of "research"?

Dry eye
Coeliac disease but initially diagnosed with lupus. Lupus much more controlled now with diet. Many problem dry eye- initially cured with omega 3 supplements but not working for 2 years now. Drops ineffective. Also have dry skin, previous infertility and miscarriages. Could it be vitamin a deficiency

Hair loss and what tests to do
Hi, I have Hashimoto’s and have started taking levothyroxine, increased a few weeks ago to 75mcg. I suspect I need an increase as feel worse after feeling like I had a little more energy again, but guess I need to wait and test bloods before this happens. I already had dry, fragile hair that was snapping

Should I be worried?
I have NALFD/Cirrhosis over the past few months I have been feeling awful. Back and forward to the GP for numerous tests. I went to get some test results and he basically dismissed my concerns. Told me I had an inflamed gut, low vitamin A & D. I feel as if I'm banging my head against the wall and not

Would appreciate input on latest bits A, E, and ferritin levels
I am bit concerned about my latest vit A and E readings: vitamin A (retinol) (C.L.H.P) 2.86 pmol/l (1.55-3.30) 819 ug/l (444-945) Is this good or should it be higher? I take fish oil and dried beef liver capsules daily (together, they are said to contain 100% of RV) since reading that non-animal vit

Vitamin A - Can too much be harmful for those with Osteoporosis?
Just seen a programme that warns against taking too much Vitamin A. I’ve never heard this before but they made the point that if our diet includes enough then check that if you take a multivitamin it doesn’t include Vit A as it could be harmful to bones. Never heard of this, has anyone else?

MTHFR/LAB WORK
Hello, I have recently got my blood & saliva test back. I cannot see my NEW Dr until Nov 14th. She did email me on blood work and said everything looked good except iron and wanted me to take an iron supplement. Before I went to her the first time in August 2019, I was dealing with severe fatigue, exercise

Big news. Shocking improvement
Just did a DEXA although different machine. Reading has improved in FOUR months (with loads of interventions including one shot of Prolia which I will discontinue) from average -3.2 (worst reading -3.7) to -1.7 (worst reading -2.2) in spine!! I will discontinue Prolia and continue everything else Magnesium

Scavenger Receptor Class B Member 1 Independent Uptake of Transthyretin by Cultured Hepatocytes Is Regulated by High Density Lipoprotein
Transthyretin is also involved with vitamin
A
(the name comes from trans(porter) thy(roid hormone)
retin
(ol) -
a
form of vitamin A). And then throw in the possibility of HDL (high density lipoprotein - usually discussed in relation to cholesterol) being a part of the process.

Hello everyone! I return to this blog as one of my last resorts. 7 months ago I had unprotected oral sex. All STIs tests are negative. All the candida tests I did so far (at least 6) are negative. Pharyngeal exudates and nasal exudates came back negative. Blood tests are normal. After more than half
