I know this was discussed 8 years ago but has it changed for the better regarding reducing the ADT SE? I am on ADT for 2 + years and going on Xtandti this month. I want to control the SE as best I can. Great diet and heavy exercise every day. Also stopped the Vit Cal & D.

which SEs are changing your quality life the most? Or are you talking mostly about unfelt SEs.....like bone loss? Or both?
One the side effect that bothered me a lot with ADT and Abiraterone was a drop in mitochondrial number. I could no longer keep up on long group bike rides. I had strength to get up the hill but then needed a break for 10 seconds to continue. I was slow to recover from weight lifting. When I stopped the meds after 2 years I had a dramatic improvement by 3 months. I am back on group rides. I have read that estrogen would reverse this effect. I am eager to try it if/when I go back on them.
I have used estradiol patches for about 9 years now to deal with hot flashes and help maintain healthy bones, it may also act as a form of cancer treatment. I take vitamin D daily for bone health, and to help maintain a healthy immune system. In fact I read an article this morning that vitamin D helps with cancer immunity and may help cancer patients.
