Is my prolapse causing me all the problems with my bowels
Hi I've been recently told I have a
rectocele
, cystocele and uterine prolapse, uterine being the worse one, I wasn't told what stage they were however presumed not bad as the only thing I was told to do was pelvic floor exercises for 3 month, and take painkillers and stool softeners and come back if pain

Pelvic pain slow transit rectocele
Hi I’m recently diagnosed with slow transit constipation and
rectocele
, awaiting treatment and currently trying resolor/prucalopride. I am also having intermittent bladder nocturia, not sure if it’s related as no dr I have seen gives me the same answer or a straight answer.

Query about prolapse
I have small
rectocele
, cystocele and grade 2 uterus prolapse and small bowel prolapse and intuusception. I have it for about 14 years, and had physiotherapy and pessary fitting etc. The pessary helped a bit but was so sore having it removed, so I got it taken out.

Help!!!
So when she mentioned a slight
rectocele
I was surprised, because had I known I could have helped myself more. Anyway I bought a stoop stool. I knew there was something wrong, because my hubby told me,but I didn't know at the time what a
rectocele
was.

After an internal at the front,I've been told that the actual problems I am having is due to two prolapses,a
rectocele
and cystocile. Even though im not happy about having this problem,I am relieved it is nothing sinister. Don't always take your docs word,if your not convinced go get checked

Rectal intussusception
At first I was diagnosed with IBS but after having been sent for a Proctogram I have now been diagnosed with recorectal intussusception with a small
Rectocele
. I’m waiting to see a pelvic floor professional as the gastro surgeon I saw doesn’t deal with this type of issue.

Is lower back pain and fatigue normal with rectocele and cystocele?
I am 50 and was diagnosed with a
rectocele
and cystocele about a year ago but have probably had them for much longer looking back. (I have been awaiting surgery since) I initially had difficulty passing urine and incomplete emptying of my bladder, difficulties passing bowel motions and ‘leakage’.

Is is possible to inspect inside a rectocele with a flexi sigmoidoscope?
I would be grateful if anyone can tell me whether it is possible to inspect inside a
rectocele
for any abnormalities with a flexi sigmoidoscope? (My
rectocele
is quite low and protrudes out of my vagina and is causing me discomfort and pain.)

Finally 5 years and several doctors later I finally got an IBS, colonic inertia,
rectocele
, and pelvic floor myofacial spasms. I had Botox injections at Mayo Clinic. Took effect after few weekk helped the spasms for a year. By this time I'd lost a total of 30 lbs.

Anyone had pain with their rectocele? How did you - or do you - cope with the pain? And did a repair eventually cure or reduce your pain?
Anyway, thanks in advance for any responses with your experiences of
rectocele
associated pain. Any tips in coping with it all would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone know of a good colorectal / gynaecologist surgeon - who doesn't use mesh (pref East Berks/South Bucks area of England) please pm me.
Hi, I have a troublesome
rectocele
, which is causing me a lot of pain. I think I'm going to need the
rectocele
repaired, but I don't want to risk possible mesh damage.

Anyone know of an analgesic suppository available on the NHS or privately in the UK?
Hi, I'm suffering with anal/rectum pain due to a
rectocele
. I want to ask my GP for pain relief (he's already referred me to my local hospital and I'm waiting to see a colorectal surgeon, but my pain has got worse since I last saw my GP).

Info needed re pain relief suppositories (for anal pain associated with rectocele)
I've got a
rectocele
which I've been coping with relatively ok for the last 7 years - I eat a lot of fibre and have to 'splint' my perineum with my fingers to be able to poo.

New- I finally found out what the main problem was
It took2 dedacate xy ray studies but my Doctor found that I have anal stenosis as well as another
rectocele
. I'm supposed to have surgery to correct the rectrocele and Botox in the anus to help relax the muscle. I'm scared as this is kind of experimental on trying the Botox.
