Hello, started on Levothyroxine late last year after being diagnosed with sub clinical hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's). After a bit of tweaking with dosage from GP they feel I am now on correct dose (alternate 75/50mg daily; I weigh 56kg). I definitely feel better than I did but still have lots of fatigue

Will I ever be able to parent properly again!
Started levothyroxine in July this year, was suffering from horrendous headaches daily and so tired. According to my GP my thyroid levels are now in the normal range but I feel awful still. Lethargic, exhausted, so cold, aching joints, no concentration, just have to sit or lie day during the days.

Question re:periods
Hello everyone, Up until I started Levo in May this year I was having regular periods every 4 weeks. I think it was my own cycle rather than just an hrt “withdrawal bleed” from my hrt, as the periods were very heavy each time and lasted about 7 days. I had spells of missing a couple of periods here

thyroid s source
Hi, I’ve been seeing a functional medicine Dr and she has suggested I try Thyroid S, she also suggested I ask on here if anyone could dm me a reliable source. I’m in the U.K. I see her regularly and have regular labs, I’ve been working with her since 2018 and we’ve tried various doses of Levothyroxine

Levothyroxine and Longer Menstrual Bleeds/Periods
So far as I have been increasing my dose (still optimising dose) my periods length have stayed the same around 5/6 ish days. The cycle itself has varied since starting levothyroxine by an about a few days (from a 26 day cycle prediagnosis and treatment to 26-31 days since diagnosis and treatment). However

Is it all because of thyroid or separate?
Hello everyone, I was dx with hypothyroidism 7 years ago. Around the same time I was dx with metabolic syndrome and have suffered so bad over the years with statins and recently my cholesterol levels and trigs results are through the roof. I've been on 150mcg levothyroxine for near on 3 yrs now.

Advice on maintaining weight or even increasing it!
I'd love advice from others who might've experienced more weight loss than they wanted whilst uploading levothyroxine. I was around 58kg when I started I December 2022. Being someone with AF and also highly responsive to pharmacological products I've had to proceed super slowly. Have now made it up

High cholesterol
I have recently signed up the Our Future Health programme. I was invited along for a blood test and a finger prick cholesterol test. The cholesterol result came back as 10.14 and I was told to go to my GP. I had a cholesterol blood test at my doctors surgery in July and it came back as 6.1. I thought

Test results help
In UK my TSH is 0.21 m/U/L. Doc says it's fine but I'm not sleeping & have excess hair loss again. I've seen optimal range for healthy adults at 0.5-1.0 but that in uIU/mL so I'm confused. Is my TSH reading then showing too low or high & do I need to lower my levo meds and or up them? Sorry my memory

Hi I recently had bloods done at GP which one of them was b12. It came back as no action required but I told GP that I think it still to low at 211.. range (180-800) she said about doing another test that might effect the absorbtion of b12 intrinsic factor antibody. My result was 3.66. was prescribed

Awful test results! What dosage increase should I make?
Hello everyone, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place at the minute and I don't really know what to do for the best. Hence, I am looking for some help and advice. Avoid prescribing desiccated (natural) thyroid extract
The NHS England Specialist Pharmacy Service advice re desiccated thyroid has been updated. Doesn't make much difference! But in case you are interested or need to know, it is linked below. Note that it does NOT say desiccated thyroid
cannot
prescribed. It still contains this bizarre sentence
