suspected epidural tumour
His next step was
Radium
-
223
to help relieve some of that bone pain. Am I right to assume that would be out of the picture with an epidural tumour? Is there anything left for us to do here? I fear him getting this news as he’s been in such a state of depression since our last appointment.

Moving on to hospice care
Radium
223
is out of the picture for him as he is just not well and it would not aid his survival at this point. They suggested some radiation for the epidural lesion as the bone is encroaching on the spinal cord. Unfortunately he is not well enough to attend that.

Radium223 has not been a success, is Enzalutamide a good next option?
Abiraterone eventually stopped working and I was able to join
Radium
223
trial. Completed 5 of 6 cycles of
Radium
223
, then elected to stop since scans showed mets still progressing and bone pains was brutal (PSA has continued to rise and is now 113 as of August '23).

Treatment after Lu /Pluvicto?
I'm beginning to suspect that pubished survival benefits for
Radium

/Pluvicto and chemotherapy cannot be assumed to be anticipated if the patient has had Pluvicto. My husband has completed 6 sessions of Pluvicto (pre-chemo) and is now progressing. His team (including Dr.

Following SOC here in BC Canada
Had
Radium
223
and it was okay but did nothing to the PSA. Cancer kept progressing and had to get targeted radiation to painful spots on ribs. Started chemotherapy again and had 7 cycles of Docetaxel then switched over to cabazitaxel for 2 cycles so far.

Zometa with or without Radium 223?
Hi I have done 1 year with Zometa alongside Docetaxel and more recently
Radium
223
. I'm halfway through the
Radium
223
course but have been advised that after a year, Zometa has reached maximum effectiveness and should be stopped.

What should I expect at the end?
It was possible that he would be eligible for
radium
223
but his kidney function is severely impaired and he continues to have continual pain crises.

after radium 223
Including 2 different chemos, xtandi, casodex, etc
radium
223
last year. We are in the UK, have now been told we have exhausted treatments under NICE guidelines and he’ll be offered pain relief under palliative care. He has pain though manages this with over the counter meds so far.

Post triple therapy options?
Xofigo
Radium
-
223
. This seems to be specifically for bone mets, which is all that showed up for David's PSMA PET scan five months ago. And since then, he's been on the triple therapy. (Weirdly, no tumors were listed in the lymph nodes --- was that the Lu177-J591 still being effective?)

Coming off Naproxen safely?
Hi After 3 doses of
Radium
223
, my pain and general core strength seems to be improving after a rocky start. I'm also taking low dose Dexamethasone. I'd like to come off Naproxen gently and just take Paracetamol. I'm taking 2 x500 mg a day after meals.

Need help to fight fatigue from Radium 223
Currently part of trial with
Radium
223
. Had 4 cycles already and 2 more to go. After this will likely have to switch to Enzalutamide and ADT. Now having bad fatigue issues; on scale of 1 -10, my fatigue level is 2 - 3. For last 3 years fatigue level was 6 - 7.

Stopping Firmagon if castration resistant
The cocktail of painkillers plus
Radium
223
is making me very tired at the moment. This may seem like a daft question but what is the position with continuing or stopping Firmagon when you're castration resistant?

Broken shattered femur
He has had Chemo and is now on
Radium
223
. Had his 3rd shot and scheduled for his 4th next week. Not sure what is going to happen with his cancer treatment now that his recovery time for healing after femur surgery is anywhere from 2 -6 months.
