Hi again. Thanks to all for your wonderful contributions.
I am now on my 5th session of Radium 223 and it seems to be working well. However I do seem to get quite bad stomach problems after each session including very loose stools gas etc has anyone else had these side effect?. I am also wondering what happens after this treatment (I have not had chemo yet) am I nearing the end game?
Good luck to all

my husband was diagnosed in 2016 with PSA over 400. He had radium 223 in 2021 and has previously had chemo twice. He is now having Pluvicto. I would think you have several options available to you. We are in Scotland but having Pluvicto privately in London.
Hi Roger
I too had stomach problems and diarrhea on radium 223. Continue to try to stay as hydrated as possible and modify your diet to mild foods. It has taken me about three months to get over my stomach problems after I finished with my radium 223. Good luck.
Reading your bio you're doing Pluvitco now of course. Wonder though if you have an opinion as to if Ra-223 was of benefit to you.
Hi CampsSoups:
The RA223 did help to bring down my ALP for a short time after I was completed my 6 sessions. My PSA did not come down but went up to about 30 as expected. I guess it kept me alive but, it was really tough on my stomach and my lower digestive system with diarrhea.
Actually today I'm going to a gastroenterologist to discuss my continuing stomach and intestinal problems that I think began with the RA 223. Currently on Plavico. Seems to be working my is PSA is coming down and I have my third fusion in a week. Good luck and keep in touch. God bless you.
