I am waiting for 9 sessions of

Locally Advanced PC - should I accept offer of docetaxel?
I immediately embarked on a 3 year programme of ADT and will have 39
radiotherapy
sessions around March '24. I've been offered an additional course of 6 sessions of docetaxel in advance of the RT and I'm trying to decide whether or not to take this chemo option. My gut instinct is to say no.

I would like to update my dad's situation (type 4 prostate cancer and bone metastasis) - LIMA PERU
I have noticed that he has more nausea but I don't know if it is because of the medication or the
radiotherapy
. Consultation: From what my dad tells me, it seems like the abiraterone is bothering him with the nausea. Has anyone been through that? What happens if the nausea is due to abiraterone?

Immediately started Bicalutimide 150 3rd August 2022 and planned
radiotherapy
for end of November 2022 after clear PSMA. For various reasons I was on bicalutimide for longer than most before starting goselerin (Zoladex) on October 12th 2022. .

Has anyone developed Lichen Sclerosus after pelvic radiotherapy?
All symptoms I've had post
radiotherapy
, but they've got worse in recent months. Now I'm wondering if the LS is making symptoms worse and I'm not sure whether to go ahead with the dilation or not incase that aggravates the LS further. Anyone had any experience of these issues?

Long time PRD sufferer.
I've been told that most of my problems have come from the
radiotherapy
. The issue I now have is that because of where I live I don't have access to a PRD specialist ( Closest one is in Glasgow). I would loved to know has anyone had or got similar symptoms as myself.

Back in permanent AF and warfarin dose decrease
I have opted for
radiotherapy
and hormone therapy under an oncologist rather than a urologist (who I have lost faith in). We are looking at a complete cure rather than palliative or adjuvant treatment which I am very pleased about. So, men, get your PSA checked! I caught mine just in time 🤞

My brother has advanced Prostate Cancer
During this past month he had
radiotherapy
on his pelvic area for the second time. Now his M.O. ordered CT scan and Bone scan again and told him to continue with Abiraterone and Prednisone for 1 month again and if PSA increase again we may start another chemotherapy.

Help with getting a diagnosis
It started as hyperthyroidism then hypothyroidism and eventually became thyroid cancer and had it removed after going through rounds of
radiotherapy
. I have pushed for years to get a diagnosis, bringing countless family members to my appointments to help them corroborate my story.

Headache and nausea
I had a lumpectomy in January and
radiotherapy
in May. I was originally told the biopsy was negative but when they did the lumpectomy it had started to change, hence the
radiotherapy
.

COPD Pain
He has had an operation and
radiotherapy
on it and it's stable and fine at the moment. The left lung is the big issue for him. He is in constant pain from what he describes to me as a kind of pulling pain within the lung as though nerves are pulling inside.

Dad with Stage 4 PCa - Need some words of wisdom...again please!
In the meantime, no
radiotherapy
, in case he is BRCA2 (needing to presrve bone marrow quality for Olaparib) In the meantime, they are exploring Radium 223 (Xofigo) as an option, but will only know after a full spine MRI. Feels/sounds like we are running out of options.

Why are late effects services so thin on the ground and little known?
As we all have had pelvic
radiotherapy
, late effects of treatment are a frequent issue for discussion. A week or so ago a member was talking about the terrible late effects she has suffered from for about a year. I found the very helpful resource on this site listing clinics and services.

She also had her tumour removed and
radiotherapy
in May/ June. She has hardly no feeling on her left side and uses a crutch around the house, frequent seizures and twitches on most days. She couldn't have chemo because the doctors said she was unmethelated.

Just been told I have two years to live.
Male, age 73, Eligard injections, Abiraterone and Predisnone for four and a half years, some
radiotherapy
. PSA levels initially 69, brought down to 7 by Abiraterone. Suddenly stopped working. Went on Radium 233 trial. Never again, and it didn't work.

Diagnosed with all the arrhythmias and a 40% ejection fraction and I'm a little confused about what's to come...
Hi, So (I'll try and keep a long story short) 8 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I had chemo,
radiotherapy
and surgery. 3 years ago I gave birth to my son and (in lock down) I'd walk for miles and miles with him in a sling.
