I had a lumpectomy in January and radiotherapy in May. I was originally told the biopsy was negative but when they did the lumpectomy it had started to change, hence the radiotherapy. I am getting a lot of bad headaches and feeling nauseous on and off during the day and have read this could be a symptom it has spread. Has anyone else experienced this. I don't want to waste the hospital time.

Headache and nausea
I'd say it was more likely to be stress related, as I had something similar after the hospital 'lost' my cancer tumour, although it wouldn't hurt to speak to your cancer nurse x
Hi sorry to hear about your rough time. I would ring up and get it checked out for two reasons one it could be something and two it will put your mind at rest. I know when you've had cancer there is that dread that it will spread or come back. You should have been given a phone number to ring if you have any concerns and some areas do have Macmillan cancer nurses so I would definitely get in touch.
I agree with the other repliers that calling your onc's office is the best thing to do. Instead of thinking you might waste their time, think about advocating for yourself! I'm a long timer with MBC and one of the early decisions I made was that calling my onc or going to the ER even crossed my mind, I'd do it! May save their time in the long run as catching things early often means less treatment and doctor time in the long run! We gotta take care of ourselves!
Thank you I will do
I recommend getting it checked out. Especially if the headaches are new or changed from your normal headache. It could be nothing, a side effect or something more. I got checked after a weird headache in my case it showed the cancer had spread. That is not same for everyone. I hope you get checked and that is nothing... if it's nothing, it wasn't a waste of time! Big hugs
As the others have said...I would get it checked out...better to be safe than sorry! Good Luck and Best Wishes!!
