Questions for the RO for my upcoming video conference regarding options for early salvage treatment (and ADT) after Radical Prostatectomy?
I know there are many options for salvage treatments I have been reading about on this forum besides IMRT and proton like SBRT, VMAT, Hypofractionated
radiotherapy
, HIFU, Cyberknife, real time MRI guided radiation therapy, Elekta, etc.

Update to just what I didn't need
I managed to leave hospital yesterday after my 2nd
radiotherapy
session. I've got to go back for the remaining 3 but it's so good to be back home.

Set out below is an update with some amazing new information that has not yet been

Insurance denying coverage for Radiation
Last spring I was diagnosed with prostate cancer: Gleason 10 on all cores, with single bone met and one swollen lymph. PSA of 22. Immeidately put on hormone therapy shots. After 6 treatments of taxotere over basically 18 weeks, scans showed "no evidence of osseous metastatic disease" and lymphs normal

A marathon? Me ?
I have just spoken to my brother and he wants me to support him by running the Brighton marathon with him next year 😱 He’s recovering from radio therapy and is really struggling so I guess I’m going to have to do it. I really truly hate the idea of a marathon but I can’t let him down. It’ll be a challenge

Just Diagnosed with T4N1 Ductal Adenocarcinoma of the Prostate
I am a 68 year old male, recently diagnosed with prostate cancer which is apparently a rare Ductal type. I always had a normal PSA and negative DRE until I had a kidney stone and my PSA jumped to 7.9. My doctor decided that the PSA score was elevated due to the kidney stone and the effect of antibiotics

Understanding the differences in types of radiation and why the ORIOLE Trial showed SBRT to be effective for Oligometastatic patients
Hello FPC crew, Not to be confused with 2 Live Crew...Recently, a post appeared on another forum discounting radiation for oligometastatic patients with bone metastasis as having no survival benefit... The study that was listed used EBRT, so needless to say, it is important to understand the differences

A newcomer’s experience of the challenges thyroid conditions can bring.
My specialist offered me two options-
radiotherapy
to shut down my thyroid or a total thyroidectomy. I went for the second option for two reasons, I would have to isolate from my children if choosing
radiotherapy
and I knew there was always a possibility that my thyroid could start up again.

Whole Brain Radiation for Multiple Prostatic Metastases
My treatments have included 2 rounds of chemotherapy, 3 rounds of
radiotherapy
to the pelvic area and many drugs too numerous too mention. I have just completed whole brain radiation due to the discovery of multiple metastatic lesions.

Richter’s Transformation
Hello family. I hope everybody is fine. I feel good, the only thing is the joints that are destroying me with the treatments. My knees hurt a lot. On the other hand, I would like to comment on the cases that Ricther is entering within the Facebook group. Every day we are more, with what we are more cases

Management of the Metastases in Oligometastatic Prostate Cancer
Until recently, there has been very little data supporting non-cranial stereotactic body
radiotherapy
as metastasis-directed therapy.

10 month after Radiotherapy
1.5 years after RP and 10 months after
radiotherapy
I finally have ideal findings. PSA <0.003, testosterone 7.8. I went through a lot and now it's time to enjoy the findings a bit. I would like to thank everyone for the advice, it really helps a lot.
