Amar Kishan, MD, on Optimal Sequencing of ADT With RT in Nonmetastatic Prostate Cancer
In men who received prostate-only
radiotherapy
(PORT), concurrent/adjuvant ADT was associated with improved metastasis-free survival (10-year benefit 8.0%, HR 0.65, P<0.0001) and overall survival (HR 0.69, P<0.0001).

If you have minimal disease you could be a candidate for very localized
radiotherapy
which could control the disease for a reasonable time. Another approach would be to restart anti testosterone therapy which would need to be continued indefinitely.

Delayed Rib Pain After SBRT
I had 5 rounds of SBRT to a rib met discovered through PSMA scan.I had no SE during or after the radiation therapy except for mild fatigue. But a few days ago I started experiencing pain in my rib cage area where I had the radiation. Not serious pain just achiness. The last round of SBRT treatment

Newly Diagnosed
Got the diagnosis last week I had Gleason 7 (4+3) adenocarcinoma in right mid prostate (70% of tissue) and 7 (4+3) in right apex (60%of tissue). Rest of prostate is benign. MRI revealed the lesions are in the transition zone (TZ). Just waiting for the PET scan to determine whether it has metastasized

Hello everyone...

radiation proctitis
I am almost 3 years out from radiation therapy and I’m still suffering from symptoms of radiation proctitis. I did have it confirmed by colonoscopy about a year and a half ago, at that time the gastroenterologist told me he thought it would resolve eventually but it persists. Have any of you had G.I

My PSA seems to be definitely on the move, latest is 0.11 up from 0.085 taken 3 months ago, full history is in my profile. I am sure SRT is now on the cards. There seems to be much to consider about dose (64-70Gy), target area (prostate bed with or without lymph nodes) and short term ADT, which is summarised

rux plus epo: any info as to effects on skin cancers?
and as I had sarcomatoid sccs triggered by the rux (excised,
radiotherapy
) I’m reluctant to take any meds that might make them worse. I’ve seen something somewhere ( can’t recall where- brain fog) that suggests EPO nit a good idea with solid tumours.
