Nerve damage and very painful hip following surgery
Hello, I’m 12 weeks in to recovery following a total hysterectomy and deep endometriosis removed from both pelvis walls, the sacral ligament and along my bowel. Recovery has been good stomach wise however one week after surgery I have a loss of feeling to my right hip to knee (I can’t feel touch)

Bowel endometriosis, 11 years post total hysterectomy
Hello everyone, hoping to reach out. I had a total hysterectomy 11 years ago conserving my ovaries. Unfortunately my most recent mri has shown DIE present in my bowel. I am waiting to be discussed at a multi disciplinary team meeting for surgery, which looks to probably be a bowel resection & removal

should I stop Pramipexole
Hi, I’m looking for some advice about whether to stop Pramipexole and how to wean off if so. I’ve been taking it for approx 6 years 2 x 0.088 tablets and they seemed like the miracle cure for me. My RLS. Started in my early 40’s and was discovered my ferritin was extremely low due to needing a hysterectomy

struggling with Adenomyosis
Long post sorry in advance, I’m just struggling today and need some advice. Can anyone recommend an adenomyosis specialist? My consultant was a BSGE endo specialist so I had high hopes but since I was diagnosed in November after my laparoscopy he discharged me. He’s told me my adeno isn’t responsible

Catch 22 - Hormone sensitive but can't tolerate hormone therapy
This is related to my posts about Lupron giving me intolerable and treatment resistant depression. The Lupron did work so far as bringing my PSA down to essentially zero which should mean it is suppressing the cancer. It is the front line SOC (Standard of Care) - FDA approved, proven in practice, etc

Greetings gents. They are, of course, offering me a choice between radical prostatectomy and radical radiation + hormone therapy. I am aware of all of the likely and possible side effects of both treatments. I would love to hear

Borderline serous tumour stage 3b
hi everyone, I’m new to this site/forum as I’m hoping others will be in a similar situation. I had a bilateral salpingo oophectomy in July as I had 2 large ovarian cysts, when the surgery took place they found a tumour and deposits in my omentum and peritoneum, so 4 weeks ago I had a full abdominal hysterectomy

Hi everyone, Hopefully I’m posting in the right place! I’m 51 and due for a total hysterectomy (due to extremely heavy bleeding and pain over about 2 years) I’m meant to be having the op after i have finished a 3/4 month course of Prostrap injections. I have multiple fibroids, Adenomyosis and endometriosis

12cm tumour fit through a Laporoscopy?
hi ladies 🙂 First post here so hope it's ok. I have a total hysterectomy booked in for next month. It was discussed with my consultant weeks ago that he would do a vertical abdominal surgery. However, I went for my pre-op today and they said I will be having a Laporoscopy instead. Just wondering

feeling lost & hopeless
Since I was 14 I’ve always had irregular and extremely heavy periods. I was diagnosed with PCOS then Endometriosis then Adenomyosis. I begged for a full hysterectomy since 2009. Finally had it completed in 2020. However, the pain is still there in the same places. I’ve been to the hospital multiple times

Good news to share!
After radical prostatectomy, chemo clinical trial, and radiation during 2001-2002, I watched my psa do its long slow climb. I began Lupron injections about five years ago. The number dropped to about 0.84, then began another long slow climb. After a PSMA PET scan revealed that there were "no distant

Different chemo side effects after surgery
I was diagnosed in March and had 3 cycles of carboplatin/paclitaxel chemo every 3 weeks. I had surgery in June - a hysterectomy and removal of my omentum and cancer cells from my liver and rectum. 18 days ago I had a 4th carbo/pac with 2 further cycles to go before the end of current treatment. So

Why not start therapy the moment you know you have PC?
I've often wondering why know hormone therapy was given until I blew my PSA out of the water 14 weeks after the Radical Prostatectomy. 1) I found out I had cancer in later Feb 2020 2) I met with a urologist/surgeon on March 13, he recommended Robotic 3) I meet with the Robotic Surgeon on March
