Considering options regarding salvage radiation.
"I had robotic radical prostatectomy in April 2019 with Gleason Score of 4+3, clear margins, and unilateral nerve sparing, (one seminal vesicle implicated). Since surgery I now have no problems with incontinence, and using Trimix injection (12 units) has work well for the ED. 18 months post-operation

Other Gleason 8 guys, I see in studies, research and in on going trials, Radical Prostatectomy shows better over all survival
On another site yana, ( you are not alone, a prostate survival story site) a site of survival stores all the Gleason 8 with Radiology Prostatectomy, have longer survival, some guys are still alive after 10, 12 years and I talk to a few that actually had RP after metastatic spread… There are now

Time course of radiation effects
My profile shows more details but in summary I have Gleason 4+4 prostate cancer, diagnosed 7/15 and treated with radical prostatectomy followed by pelvic radiation and 18 months of Lupron. After about 18 months off treatment new spread to sacral bone was found on choline 11 PET scan. This was radiated

Alk Phosphate going up after third Radium 223
hello all. Husband dx in 2017 with 489 PSA. So far we’ve done Docetaxel, Xgeva, Zytiga. Currently on Xofigo (Ra 223) it knocked the Alk Ph way down then after the third treatment it went up a few points. Has this happened to anyone? RO suggests doing 4th treatment then PSMA scan to see if there’s

Doctor correct or gaslighting me?
Saw my primary care doctor for RLS. She did order tests for Vitamin D, B9, and B12 deficiencies. Had been deficient in ferritin and she prescribed iron infusions. Tested iron stores level and it was 159 three weeks after infusions. Not deficient in the B vitamins but deficient in D. Anyway, I told

History of vitamin discovery and research
I ran into an interesting history of the discovery of, and subsequent research into, vitamins. The B vitamins section begins about a third of the way down. It's surprising to me how recently this all occurred. https://www.acs.org/content/acs/en/education/whatischemistry/landmarks/vitamin-b-complex.html

Summary of Prof A Bianco's book and project: too long to add comment in 1 post but you can see progress
I've just received this as an interested party in Bianco's book and project. It's a long post and I have to send another with the other part of the message. Debate Continues on Combination Therapy for Hypothyroidism Miriam E. Tucker May 20, 2 It's "critically important" for clinicians

Trying B vitamins
Hi everyone Im currently trying 25mcg of Levo (northstar) after reacting badly to a trail of 50mcg. I am 3 weeks in and am feeling slightly worse than before. Last time I posted it was suggested that my B vitamins were on the low side (in the low 300’s) My question is; Should I wait for blood test

Even the euthyroid have problems
Hello, I am a 64 year old otherwise healthy man seeking to rule out a possible hypothyroid issue. While my test results are within classic parameters (may even be enviable to many on this forum), and I take no meds, I do have thyroid signs and symptoms (elevated cholesterol, elevated creatinine,

Liver function
I am not a health care person, but I have a little understanding of the liver. It is not like a coffee filter that takes out the bad. It is more like a fine-tuned machine that performs a series of chemical changes resulting in the creation of Glutathione which is a super-antioxidant. This helps eliminate

Suspicious Lung Nodule "Disappeared" w/ Eligard (Lupron)??
I'm currently being treated (prostate bed only) with radiation for recurring prostate cancer that came back after radical prostatectomy 12 years ago. First PSMA in 2021 showed no spread. Second PSMA in 2022 "lit up" a small area in prostate bed as well as a lung nodule that appears to have been there

Feel like giving up
Hi all, would really appreciate some input/advice. I have so many ongoing, chronic, worsening symptoms that are really having a significant impact on my ability to lead a somewhat 'normal' life - chronic reflux and stomach issues, lower digestive issues, gynae issues/fibroid, joint stiffness and mild

B1 testing
Hi I was wondering if anyone knows of any UK site that provides provide private blood testing for the B vitamins - B1 in particular? I have looked, but only seem to find ones that test for B12 and B9 only. If not, what do you do if you suspect a B1 deficiency, but the GP is reluctant to run tests

Theories on Stress and B12
Hi all I've seen a few questions on the forum around the relationship between stress and B12. I think this is a very interesting area. On the one hand, B-Vitamins are well-known to support the body during times of stress. In many ways this makes sense because our bodies run on essential vitamins and

Latest thyroid bloods & iron panel…
I’ve just got my latest bloods back and this confirms I need to reduce my Levothyroxine. It’s a similar result to last time and shows my T4 to be too high. I was on 150mcg T4 only: TSH: 0.005 Free thyroxine: 33.5 (12-22) Free T3: 5.88 (3.1-6.8] Previous bloods from mid July tell the same story…

Vitamin B12 Protective Against Parkinson's Disease?
A high baseline intake of vitamin B12 is linked to lower risk of developing Parkinson's disease (PD), new research suggests. "The results leave the door open for the possibility that vitamin B12 may have a beneficial effect in protecting against PD," lead author Mario H. Flores, PhD, a research fellow

Magnesium question
Hi all I've been taking the BetterYou D3000+k2 spray since 9th September. I've stopped taking a multivitamin and intend to replace the iron, B vitamins etc on an individual basis over the next months. Originally I wasn't going to replace magnesium as a matter of course but my latest magnesium blood
