Qvar for asthma plan
Hi, I’ve been asthmatic for 9 years since I turned 50. I’m on fostair 200/6 x2 twice a day plus montelukast and fexofenadine. My asthma management plan now includes Qvar 100 x 12 puffs twice a day if I’m struggling. My asthma mostly manifests as a cough. I had a severe coughing experience for several

QVAR problems
I have had asthma since childhood. I have taken QVAR (Beclamethasone dipropionate HFA) for the last 9 yrs. It is distributed by TEVA Pharmaceuticals & made in Ireland. I have had so many problems with their inhalers, even when they redesigned them - so now I just open the lid, put it up to my mouth

Bronchiectasis, green phlegm and fever
Hi, I wondered if people would be happy to give my their feedback on constant green phlegm. Mine is never clear and there all the time, I have to do clearance most days. I use a Qvar steroid inhaler and try not to take antibiotics. My lungs are sensitive to everything, dust etc. I was at a shielding

powdered inhalers
Hi everyone Just wanted to share some good news for me that may help you too. I switched from Seretide 500 Evohaler (the spray/aerosol type). to the Accuhaler (powdered version) in summer last year. I suggested it purely as I was at my wits end, I tried every other inhaler going and none of them worked

Depressed because of my breathing issues. I don't know where to go from here...
My breathing issue started atleast 2 years and 10 months ago. I was in the kitchen, and i remember i exhaled and heard a crackly sensation coming from my throat. Did not think much of it, but as time went on, it got worst, and i was able to pin point it to my left lung. After trying so many medications

Seeking help
My asthma has been very unsettled this past few days. Usually fairly well controlled on Fostair, Qvar and Tiotropium. However, woken up wheezy/coughing last 4 nights, and had a few attacks during the daytime. Increased inhalers as per plan, and using spacer for salbutamol but want some advice on what

Recent admission and now what
My asthma has been out of control for the past few weeks, I think mainly due to hay fever. Then I got covid, got antivirals and felt mostly ok. After 6 days tested negative and started a course of steroids for 5days to calm my chest down as it was even less happy. I felt great again 3days after stopping

Can Albuterol be used everyday ?
I take Qvar twice a day. I find that Albuterol makes my breathing easier but have read that you should not use it everyday.

getting Q-var (or other inhalers) online
Has anyone tried ordering qvar (or other inhalers) online for the full price, to speed things up when GPs are non-responsive? If yes, can you recommend a pharmacy? I found a a web site ("independent pharmacy") which had Qvar 100 for about £40. They gave me the usual asthma assessment questionnaire ("

I was wondering….
I am currently on Dulera and Singulair. For rescue, I take Ventolin. The last appointment I had with my asthma team, the pulmonologist added Qvar to my Dulara. Singulair and Ventolin stayed the same. Has anyone had puffers added to their everyday maintenance puffers, and what classification would this

taking seretide (advair) and Qvar together
Hi all -- Has anyone's GP or specialist ever OKed the use of Qvar and Seretide together? I've been taking Seretide 500/50 during the current exacerbation and for the last year. It kept me alive, but not enough to work and live a normal life. 3 days ago, out of desperation, I started using Qvar100 as

Fostair 100/6
Hi guys, After all your stellar advice last time my Qvar was increased but it still did not help and I’ve now been on Fostair 1 puff twice a day. I have to say that although the steroid dose is lower than the Qvar it seems to be working pretty well! (Fingers crossed.) I’ve got another call booked with

Miracle has happened - Stopping gluten cleared asthma
I have been using ICS for asthma for 40 years. Intolerance to dairy made asthma worse . Then the ICS caused bad candida overgrowth. Went on candida diet which included a suggestion to go gluten free, I did . Wow !!! asthma gone !!! I was on Ciclesonide 200 x2 twice a day. GP said must take it slowly
