Qvar

Now, from what I can see, the steroid in both Qvar and Clenil are exactly the same, so why would I be prescribed Qvar if the active ingredient is the same in both inhalers?

Since I've been using the Qvar inhaler, or even the salbutamol inhaler, it seems to make me start coughing and even bringing up frothy sputum. I have also a small amount of bronchiectasis in the middle lobe of my right lung. My husband said yesterday since starting the inhalers I seem worse.

My history was old school 2 puffs ventolin before Qvar twice a day. I was told at my asthma review that I needed to reduce to just Qvar only using Ventolin as required. I agreed but ended up using ventolin more. Asthma Nurse changed me to Symbicort.

I've been on Qvar 50 for the past year and previously was on Fostair 100/6 for 2 years since I was diagnosed with asthma.

Current meds: Relvar am, Incruse pm, Montelukast pm, Fexofenadine am, Qvar pm, Carbocisteine 375 4 times a day ( cannot tolerate a higher dose), VentoVentolin as needed. Dymista nasal spray twice a day. Saline nebs once a day, ACB and Aerobika 3 times a day.

(I could be secondary as take Qvar asthma inhalers so really want ACTH, equally though I have hashi and P.A so could be primary). But I just feel so so ill and getting the brick on my head and waking up is getting so bad in mornings, and I'm so scared of crisis.

I no longer have to use salbutamol every 4 hrs, have my qvar daily though. However, I have been off work 3 weeks and due to go back Monday, 9am. The tiredness/fatigue I’m feeling is unbelievable. I can’t wake up in a morning, even if someone wakes me up I’m just so foggy and out of it.

Current lung treatments; Relvar 184/22, Incruse, Ventolin as needed, Qvar 100mg x1 at bedtime, Montelukast at bedtime, Fexofenadine 180 in morning. I do saline nebs every morning after breakfast then ACB lung clearance ( amount that comes up varies!) .

My asthma management plan now includes Qvar 100 x 12 puffs twice a day if I’m struggling. My asthma mostly manifests as a cough. I had a severe coughing experience for several hours after a meal out a week ago. This continued at a reduced level throughout the week so I started Qvar 4 days ago.

I am presently taking qvar, spiolto and ventolin. Plus a truck load of other meds for my various issues. TIA

I have taken QVAR (Beclamethasone dipropionate HFA) for the last 9 yrs. It is distributed by TEVA Pharmaceuticals & made in Ireland.

asthma check and they said it wouldn’t matter having it later in the day, l had taken my eltroxin at my normal time at 7am in august 2020 serum tsh level was 0.42 range 0.30- 5.00 this test was done at 9.0clock and since going on lower dose l feel cold and my breathing is,nt good even when l use my qvar

I use a Qvar steroid inhaler and try not to take antibiotics. My lungs are sensitive to everything, dust etc. I was at a shielding friends house and there was loads of dust from them sanding. My chest really hurt that night and I had to do loads of clearance the next morning.

All the time my asthma has been worsening over the past 10 years, having to take Pred every summer, and eventually I was taking Qvar 100 in addition to the Seretide.

After trying so many medications for allergies, asthma, post nasal drip, qvar, prednisone with so many doctors, none were able to diagnose me.

Preventer,on Qvar now,so spacer doesn’t fit it,chemist says use anyway,try half dose as stronger re smaller particles, but have been using 1 puff am ,2 puffs pm as usual but it actually gives me asthma!Esp.evening dose.

sent Qvar instead of usual Clenil.Can’t get hold of them atm,googlied it,says same thing but twice as potent as Clenil.Was having 2 puffs bid - so should I take 1 puff bid now? Anyone know if thatvwould suffice? Thanks.🤔

Usually fairly well controlled on Fostair, Qvar and Tiotropium. However, woken up wheezy/coughing last 4 nights, and had a few attacks during the daytime. Increased inhalers as per plan, and using spacer for salbutamol but want some advice on what to do over the bank holiday weekend.

I've ordered a qvar inhaler to see if that will help. Can't ge a face to face appointment with asthma nurse or GP . I waited 10 days for a telephone consultation but just turned out to be pharmacist! Started to get really down out it and feel like a can't get help. 

Just kind of feel lost in the system, with no idea of what to do to stop my chest going off again, *On biologics, fostair, qvar, fexo, carbocisteine, and montelukast.
